i think we do make life harder than it needs to be!. we worry too much about what others around us think!. when they really are thinking more of themsleves!. which leads into the answer as to why we don't all come to an agreement about what to do to change things!. because people don't think beyond their own small problems!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, of course we do!. Beginners always make things harder than they are!. For every right way to do a thing, there are thousands of wrong ones, and that's why we still haven't come to one simple solution!.

But another is that things keep changing, there are always new problems to solve, thousands of solutions or near-solutions for people to become invested in, and always the problem of finding consensus!.

Your question itself is one way of making life harder than it is, because you are trying (or wishing) to make it simpler than it is!. Life is infinitely complex, endlessly delightful!.

Mutualism & symbiosis are not hardwired into us - we have adopted cooperation & coexistence for our individual survival through our evolutionary history!. Because of our highly developed brains [which have, in turn, engineered societies accordingly] we have been growing more individualistic & egocentric & power-centric!. we have also become more diverse in our perceptions & ideas while, in general, becoming more intolerant of varied opinions - "my way or else!.!.!."!. so single/common solution will be hard to come by unless there is a huge huge calamity involving the very existence/survival of the human species!.

also, try to think on a micro-scale - within a family; between two friends/relatives; in a class - between teacher & yourself / classmates & yourself / among students; in neighborhood !.!.!.!.!.!.have you been able to solve all problems - how Big/Small were these problems !.!.!.!.!.!.
If you cannot find single simple solutions in a small group, why fantasize about the global solutions!. the power-wielders are tinkering with '"solutions that are good for mankind", well, so be it!. ;-)

anyways, with every "pro" there is associated a "con" so even if think we've found the '"perfect" solution now, we may find its limitations/drawbacks/disadvantages at a later date & then THOSE generations will start to crib !.!.!.!.!.

To quote Thomas Carlyle (post-Victorian british author):

"There is but one blot in our perfect sunshine, that is, even, the shadow of our Selves!."

We create our own problems, and they allow us to complain about issues that are OURS!. Why would you take that away!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes we do!. Our personal pleasures however complicate things for us, since in exchange for surplus, we must give up a necessity, usually the loss of that necessity, whether it be time or effort, will cause the pain/make life harder!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

Human desire makes it harder, rather than accepting "what is," without judgment!. In the dark night of the soul, I learned that suffering and joy are but two sides of the same coin, each containing within it the other!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

For the same reason that we ask ourselves why didn't i listen!. If you look history repeats its self because it is in our human nature to have to experience things for ourselves!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yez, but that is the glory of life - live the fullest- though experience!.
