Unconditional Love cannot come back to bite you, because in order to Love unconditionally necessarily requires that you become Love Itself!. One who Loves unconditionally IS unconditional Love, and when you are Love Itself, it can never fail or betray you, and you no longer have to stand in the egoic position of constant un-love, betrayal, and rejection!.

I do believe with unconditional love it is not "keep on forgiving" because to have unconditional love there is not a need to forgive, but to accept!. I do believe unconditional love is a beautiful thing!. You totally accept the other person for who they are and want the best for them because you love them, rather than a conditional love that is focused towards the self!.

As for if I believe unconditional love with come back to bite you that does depend!. If you have unconditional love for another that does not mean that you have to sacrifice the total of your life and who you are because of your love for them!. Such as in a love situation where you have unconditional love for another!. You can still hold that unconditional love, but you need to still have the self respect for yourself to know that just because you love them unconditionally does not give someone a right to use you, abuse you, treat you negatively and with continuous disrespect!. You can still have unconditional love for another and yet stand your guard with your own self respect!. It is someone who views unconditional love without self-respect that it can turn back to bite them because they are willingly lowing their self-worth for the sake of the unconditional love itself!. I know what I have just said may sound as if I am not speaking of unconditional love, but arguably, I truly am!. It is not selfish to stand up for yourself worth and does not mean you cannot continue to have unconditional love for another!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The opposite of unconditional love is love on condition, such as, "If you don't get a job, I won't love you", or, "If you get fat, I won't love you", or "If you use drugs, I won't love you"!. That kind of love isn't really love!. On the other hand, "unconditional love" does not mean, "If you don't get a job, or you get fat, or you use drugs, I won't ever bother you about it at all, because I love you"!. Sometimes it still can be out of love to take a stand or a hard line, like not letting your friend drive if he/she has been drinking, even if it could lead to a fight!. The concept of "unconditional love" is one of the most abused, as in, "I thought you LOVED me! Why are you doing this to me!!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't think unconditional love exists!. But if it does, it sounds ridiculous to me!.

From my experience, love is only created on conditions!. Mainly, on our perception of the person, (who we think he is versus who he actually is)!. Time will tell whether they are the same people!.

If the time comes and we find the person is not the same person of our perception of him, then the love itself becomes faltered and shrivels away!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

From a Christian perspective:

God's love is unconditional, when you Choose to love him his with you forever, he guides you , protects and cares for you, and that has been the absolute best thing I have ever done!.!.!.and I am so blessed for it!.

the bible ask and answers the very thing!.!.!.!. how many times must I forgive my brother!? seven!?

and God answer 70 times 7!.!.!. meaning as long as he "asks" for it you should forgive him!.!.!.!. else you should forgive him for your own sake, that a sin not be charged to you!.!.!. and then he must answer for it!.!.!.

give you an example!.!.!.!. my father and I fought all my life, and I didn't
speak to him in fifteen years, then he got leukemia and on his death bed, I drove for 24 hr to see him, we had our say!.!.!. and parted on forgiven terms, I don't condone what the man did, but I couldn't have felt good about myself if I had held a grudge !.!.!.It was for him as must as it was for me!.!.!.!. that's why you forgive sometimes!.!.!.

the same for your kids, they do stupid things, like step through a aquarium, and get 12 stitches with 3 gouges legs, blood everywhere, and you are having trouble stopping blood!.!.!.!. anger doesn't matter , your daughters life does!.!. ya know!.!.!. afterward you get mad and then you hug,,,, that's what God intended!.!.!.!. unconditional

I dont think unconditional love should exist only for your children!.!.!.and MAYBE for your parents

I certainly do not agree with having love for a spouse in that way

However, i dont know if having this unconditional love, is something you can choose!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Truly unconditional love may be excruciatingly painful, but there is no worm in the pain, if you know what I mean!. Your own heart is clear!.

The forgiven doesn't have to mend his/her ways but faced with a pure quality of love, some do!.

Unconditional love never comes back to bite you!. It's a way you feel for someone maybe not because they deserve it but because you can't see it any other way!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've seen the sadness of unconditional love!. A mother broke her children's heart when she could not respond to a life and death health situation!. When it finally killed her they were devastated!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
