Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: You raise an intriguing question to my mind!. For those of us who are spiritual we are almost tempted to say yes!. But we do so with the faith that spiritual reality really does exist!. But in natural terms or when speaking to physical and therefore natural man spiritual enlightenment or reality is not recognized and therefore remains unknown!. That is because they are spiritually blind!.!. This is readily understood when a fetus remains in the womb and does not know that there is another reality that the living being is unaware of and that he will exist in!. Clinical death experiences relate that afterlife is more real to physical life!. So in this sense are life on earth makes us more aware of this life and therefore more known or real then when we existed as a fetus inside our mother's womb!. Another fact about spiritual awareness is that it is a learned process!. Life does so by either one meeting a person or experiencing it until one knows that what they learned was spiritual!. For instance Paul the accuser of the Christians did not know of spiritual truth and rebirth until God spoke to him on the road to Damascus!. Those experiences are no different then when a first time student knows nothing of s subject until a teacher tells them so!. Then the student understands life another way!. There is the mathematical view of life!. A scientific view of life!. A philosophical view of life!. A politcal view of life!. And a relisiugs view of life!. All these are learned so that implies that one must be taught what one has experienced!. I'm sorry I am so long on this but let close with this!. The best example I know of is the caterpillar and the butterfly!. The caterpillar does not know about spiritual truth if it is real!. Only when the caterpillar dies to it's preconcieved notions about what his physical reality is that he will be the butterfly he truly was meant to be!. Therefore life for this creature exists in two seperate but real realities!. Life shows us that his process is natural and real!. What is real like the caterpillars world of reality can be viewed differently from the butterflies view of realtiy!. So two it is with man and his reality!. Man recognizes we exist in a physical reality!. But life gave man a means to exist in a spiritual reality without our knowledge!. And that is our mind!. With our minds man's view of the universe can look at it from beginning to end!. With God or without!. From the particles of mater and energy!. From the superstring worlld or smaller to the gigantic world of the galaxies that are spread through the vast known universe!. The man of mind can go any where even wehre the phyiscal reality of man cannot!. The spirutal dimension of man exists in that area of man's existence!. Then defining what is meant by 'constricted physical plane of life'!. If you look at it theologically the message and guidance that is given(of course subjective), the sole objective is to create and shape your physical life in such a way, you are comfortable in this physical realm, and once your time is over you move to the spiritual plane!. For generalization we can call it 'Peace' and spiritual plane 'Heaven'!. Of course certain religions incorporate 'nirvana' or 'enlightenment'!. So that would have to require a background, theory and practical ways to what is being stressed!. So we can say using meditation and change in life style we can break free from our material plane and into the higher spiritual plane!. So what are we breaking free from and what do we gain after breaking free!. The fact simply remains even if you do become free you will simply be bound to this material world!. Your conscious is defined by the connection with this world, as soon as this breaks you're dead!. You can temporarily by your will(depending on your strength) break free, however you simply can not live solely in higher dimension!. I have read in some practices that eventually a time comes if you continue your material and spiritual dimensions become one, meaning you are living in both dimensions simultaneously!. I think the reason there is a force pushing to be free is our conscious limitations!. Spiritual dimension by definition is free of time and space!. So that means your spirit is free, as soon as you are in the physical dimension your spirit is shackled!. So it is desire for your spirit to break free!. So its not the constriction per se but your inner desire that dictates your passion to break free!.
