Question: There is a Reality that transcends the mind!.!.!.it is infinite and non quantitative; why do SOME call it GOD!?

I mean SURE it explains the Chicken and Egg question and time/space cause/effect by saying that it is INFINITE and all ONE thing that can not be quantified or even explained by that which it transcends!.!.!.!.!.
OK fine I agree that OUR FINITE minds are not capable of grasping the WHOLE of reality!. And that our Linear way of seeing the world as FLAT!.!.!.is because it is the only way that we can make sense of it and NAVIGATE within our environment!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.BUT!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.!.why does this have to be GOD!.!.!.!.!.!.!.that is where I disagree when they try to call this TRANSCENDENT REALITY !.!.!.!.!.!.!.the GOD of the Bible!.!.!.!.!.!.I have seen this done by christians!.!.!.!.!.!.many times!.!.!.!.!.but the Bible to me is all fable and metaphor and many contradictions and nonsense as well!. You seek the Logos!.

Both Atheists & Christians think an eternal unchanging Logic runs the Universe & created man!.

The Atheists call it Physics or Natural Selection!. The Christians call it God!.

Atheists are certain the Logos lacks intelligence!.

Christians slap a beard & gender on it and presume it makes all manner of choices & judgments!.

So here's the irony!. The Atheistic presumption that the Logos lacks intelligence, when it clearly compels energy-space-time to create intelligence, is a matter of faith!.

But the Christian assumption that the Logos has intelligence, when the complexity of the universe boils down to a handful of laws is also a matter of faith!.

Furthermore, if you open your mind just a crack, you will realize Religion is NOT the pursuit of truth, it is the pursuit of a belief that empowers!. Like a football player telling himself he's invincible before the game!.

We know damn well that Natural Law judges all men!. This is the principal of Evolution!. So modify the notion a bit & you have the morals of men being judged by some personification of the Logos!.

Now I don't believe in Karma or the great moral Judge, BUT morals DO create social cohesion, which in turn raises the chances a society will prevail!. Which means the lack of morals IS 'punished' by Natural law!.

Individuals can & do get away with murder, but on the whole it is accurate to say that the Logos judges the morals of man!.

Is the Logos God!? Damn straight it's God!. We are absolutely judged by the same universal logic that created us & guides the cosmos!.

Is this the Father God of the Christians!?

Not exactly!. Religion is the simplified personified & 'dressed up for the masses' description of the Logos!.

Religion is profoundly logical because morally speaking it gets people where they need to be with a minimum of intellectual effort!.

The God of the Bible IS the linear way of seeing the world as FLAT for the sake of easy navigation!.

It's far easier to say: "God will punish murders!." than
"A society that does not embrace the notion that murder is wrong cannot gain the cooperation of 'unprotected' individuals and so is unlikely to prevail in the Darwinistic struggle since Natural Law judges & destroys non-cohesive societies!."

See!. These are pretty much the same statement!. Which would you rather teach an illiterate shepherd!? Which would you rather teach to your average High School student!?

What would be the proper attributes of God if God exists!? And if a reality had these attributes, could it be anything other than God!? Generally the human mind / psyche can't cope with infinity!. There has to be a back stop, and end point!. So they invent a backstop and call it many things!. We happen to call it God, other cultures call it different things!. We are very feeble unimaginative creatures in many ways and if there is some form of greater entity then, no doubt we will meet him/her/it one day

God is a word symbol of mans highest values!. To define this you would need to know what those values where!. On the other hand God is the first source and center so as such He is also personal!. It is in the personal experience of consciousness that we can know who and what God is!. Just why we have records of mans personal experience in our Scriptures!. We would be foolish to believe the things that are beyond our personal experiences until others can make a more authoritative evaluation as in revelations!. God for many is something, someone, to hold on to for hope of a better purpose!.
God may be seen by many as different images,
In reality any thing that you so choose may be your Higher being!.
The fact that people choose to believe is not to say they are right!.
Any more than non believers are wrong!.

Beginning with the Atomists, the naturalist philosophy took over for theist philosophy (and it was philosophy as much as it was ritual and true belief!.)

Naturalism displaced theism as the dominant philosophy of the west until Augustine and Plotinus turned things on their heads, and made naturalism the skepticism of theis; whereas until then, the Atomists had made theism the skepticism of naturalism!. The Atomist position was that everything was natural, not supernatural; that the planets and life and man were created out of matter by the accident of the proper mix of atoms coming together!. No God in their theory!. Augustine put god into the theory, saying it had to be god who put the proper mix of atoms together, that it could not have happened naturally!.

So they called it God!.

invented by a very intelligent man!.I don't know who said this but it was well said!.
God exists because we give him/her space for existence!.
For many, God is someone to look upon in times of inconveniences and troubles,it is a tool of optimism for people to think that that there is someone above who will help them,who will balance their karma!.
And believe it or not those who has faith in god lives 5% longer than atheists/agnostics just because they relieve themselves of stress when they are in problem because they are under the light of god!.
