If people think that ignorance is bliss then why not engage in a life full of drug addiction!. I think we all have attained a certain level of consciousness where we understand things, we have attained knowledge and we know the feeling of having it!. This question goes side by side to what is better a happy pig or an unhappy Socrates!. I take the unhappy Socrates, while he may not have his needs fulfilled, I think there is a level of satisfaction in having a higher consciousness!. I don't think that ignorance is bliss, because that is simply having no awareness, and no consciousness!. Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe, not so much as to say bliss, but that ignorance provides contentment!.!.!. how you perceive that- that determines whether it is "bliss"

there are moments that it is "happy" to be allowed a small amount more of time at peace, but whether contentment is really living, in answer to your question, is really "bliss"!?!?!?

if you can reconcile yourself to being ignorant due to your ignorance, then you may be at least numb

Ignorance can only be perceived as bliss to the people who are no longer quite so ignorant!. You always want what you can't have!. People won't know how good they had it until they've had it until they have worse times!. Myself, though, no, I don't believe it's bliss!. You won't know what you're so lucky to miss out on, but you also don't know the good things that come with it!. You can look at it as ignorance is bliss or that, instead of crying because it's over, you can smile because it happened!.
Once you're in the real world, ignorance stops being quite so blissful!. Better to get used to it sooner rather than later!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Ignorance can be bliss if what you are ignorant about is negative!. Imagine being ignorant about the joy of a childs laughter or the beauty of a sun set!. But being ignorant about the smell of baby poop!? Now thats Bliss! Www@QuestionHome@Com
