Question: Am i the only one who thinks we (as the human race) are idiots!?

Am i the only one who thinks we are just completely idiotic!? We wage war daily with our self, we can't find cures for anything, we destroy our environment and make no real recognition to fix it, there is murder, theft, rape, etc!. daily!. I bet there are advanced species out there that are just looking down on us just pitying our stupidity!. No wonder in all the movies where aliens invade they try to kill us!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think there are a lot of positive within our race that go along with all of the negatives!. Like you said, there are a lot of idiotic and confusing disasters around the world!. However, finding solutions for our environmental problems and cures for diseases such as cancer are very intense jobs that may take years to achieve!. I think we should stop complaining about the issues and starting becoming more self-aware so we can make the human race less, as you say, "completely idiotic"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Our species is just in transitional phase, as we always have been!.
Right now america is in a phase, of what I now name after the hippie years!.
Where Americans realize the power of peace!. But see the problem isn't America!. No American wants to go to war, the problem is that some countries are still in different phases of awakening, and haven't quite made it to the hippie like understanding, that we all keep held away right behind our logic, and beliefs!. Getting of war based propositions such as religion is a struggle, and we surely will after the world itself has only those alive (natural selection) that do not meet death, in war, suicide, or the like!.
When it comes to science, we are far from idiotic!. I was watching a re-run of Eureka the other night (sci-fi series) and it ended with this statement,
"If an alien species exists, and has found us, the only reason why it hasn't attacked us yet, is because it can see a bright future ahead of us!. Because we make advances in mirco-seconds, compared to billions of years!. We might be more knowledgeable than them, with little rage, if we simply walk down the road of peace and science as civilization, and that road only!. " It was something along that same philosophical line!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We as the human race make larger desicions which are decididly stupid but that doesnt make everyone and every desicion weve ever made a stupid one!.

We can find cures for things, which other species has found aspirin!? And although we destroy our enviroment, we at least admit full responsibility and there are tons of organizations helping the planet, WWF, plant a tree for a $1 systems and whatnot!. And with all that murder, theft, rape, etc!. daily we have police forces foiling plenty daily!.

We all make mistakes, havent you heard the phrase, we are all human!? And although Im sure there are higher intelligence species out there (pretty good odds in my opinon), they will have made mistakes too!. And they are movies, scientific fiction, it isnt real, its pure hollywood entertainment, which brings me to another point, who else has made high tech gadgets such as computers and t!.v!.s!?

War!? Give me a break!. When was the last time YOU were threatened by war!? These are amongst the most peaceful times in the history of mankind, when the vast majority of nations on this world are united in the belief that the use of force is only justified in self-defense!. the vast majority of historical people would ENVY the fact that you will never go a day in your life worrying about the possibility of being on the wrong end of a war!.
