answer perhaps is not so simple----

Pursuit of dreams and passions is certainly a part of the learning process for this lifetime
---when you ask is this our purpose
the plot thickens--
if these pursuits lead you to a better understanding --
in your mind
of your relation between you and your Creator
--- they are beneficial---
if the pursuits and passions cause a deterioration of your divine spirit then your purpose is denied ---
passions of the flesh are tricky little things that
can lead one to illogical, unethical, demise
or so this one believes
