I would share with you a slogan that I learned long ago!.!.!. "let go and let God!." Another thing that helps me when I'm feeling anxious is saying the 'serenity prayer!.'

The serenity prayer goes like this: "God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

The root of all our anxieties is our current living circumstance of living in the material world!. We are actually eternal spiritual beings, but now we live in an atmosphere where we are threatened with death at any moment!. We want to live forever and be happy forever, but life in the material world is haunted by death and suffering!. This is the root cause of all our anxieties!.

To remedy this we have to realize our eternal, spiritual nature!. The easiest and most effective means to accomplish this in the current chaotic atmosphere is bhakti-yoga, or linking with the Supreme through loving devotional service!. You can get more info from the Bhagavad-gita!. Check out the link I gave in the source!.

I am exactly like you and I don't know the answer!. Somehow we are going to have to change our perceptions of things!. I think we should stop qualifying things as bad or negative and just consider them another experience we must face!. You don't snap out of it, it takes time to train yourself to think differently!. Remember there is a positive and a negative way to look at everything!. Can you concieve of the positive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Many of us who suffer from anxiety cannot be "snapped" out ot it, at least not in the long term!. Something in the immediate situation may be helped by a few kind or stern or concerned words!. But in the long run I found something that helps me considerably!.

First, let me say I'm atheist!. So the Serenity Prayer should be the last thing I look at--I mean, a prayer!?

But I don't use it that way!. It's the meaning of the phrases that have everything to do with everything!.

I must have the serenity to accept the things I cannot change!. My anxiety is certainly not a feeling of serenity, but when I stop, think, and realize that some person, place, or thing is not under my control, I also come to realize that it probably should NOT be under my control!.

People's behavior often makes me anxious!. But you know what!? If I didn't do anything wrong, if I don't do anything wrong to make that person's behavior worse, then no one can hold anything against me!. Same with places and things!. If I am not in control, no one expect me to be!.

The next part of the prayer is to change the things I can change, beginning with me!. I can take a deep breath, count to ten, or think about the first part of the prayer and ask myself whether this thing that is bothering me is mine to control!. If it is, then I had better figure out how to control it!. But even then, I can have serenity in the knowledge that I have just figured out that I need to learn something!. I might not know it now; I might lose this little battle and things will go in a direction I don't want them to; but I am capable of learning and now I know this is something I can control when I learn how to do that!. And I also know that I can learn!.

The last part of the prayer is to know the different between parts one and two!. So my rule of thumb is, if I don't know how to control the situation, even if I know I must learn how to, right now this minute I do not know how and so it is not in my control and so I must have the serenity to accept it!.

It took me a long time to make this work for me in almost every situation!. But as soon as I accepted that it was true, it began working little by little, here and there, until my anxiety began to recede!.

Now, most of the time, I don't feel anxious at all!.

Good luck with your search for an answer!. You might check out my own website for a little sanity!. And if you do that, I thank you!. http://freeassemblage!.blogspot!.com/Www@QuestionHome@Com

I get like that in the school year!.
Sometimes it helps to just take it easy and do what's best for YOU at the moment and not worry so much about things!. Sometimes it helps to get away for even just a day or two!. Sit down and watch a happy movie/funny movie!. Listen to music when you're feeling stressed!. Sometimes even just crying makes you feel like you got something out!. You'll be fine, just give it time :)Www@QuestionHome@Com

The future is nothing more/less than truth you haven't seen yet and the only thing that can hurt you is a personal conflict with her!.

Truth has no enemies!. Even if you are in conflict with the truth, she simply absorbs that fact and it becomes a part of truth herself so that even if you see her as your enemy, she will never see you as HER enemy!.

Truth is going where she's going and you're going with her!. Like it or not!. It doesn't matter to her if she drags you, kicking and screaming!. It only matters to you!. If that's the way you choose to travel then she will not interfere!.

Truth is the one thing that will never abandon you!. You're a part of her!. Whether you're a part of her eyes and ears or a festering pimple on her butt, she doesn't care!. That's completely and totally YOUR choice!. THAT'S free will!. YOU get to decide what you want!. If what you want is truth, then there's no problem and nothing to fear!. If what you want is for truth to interfere with itself to please you!.!.!.well!.!.!.then!.!.!.your anxiety is justified!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
