Question: Are we inheriting what has been a collective sharing of past and present generations!?
If you do not share your knowledge and experience, with the rest at varing levels or time, you will carry it to your grave!. You may not have acquired so much if others before you and even some in your lifetime, had not!.
Or do you think if you pass on your knowledge and experience only to you kith and kin it would be worth it!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

Perhaps the development of mankind is proof of this 'inheritance"!. Throughout history (whether the world or our own family) its always been something we've learned from our forefathers, and them from their forefathers!. Perhaps its a part of our evolution as man, in whatever we endeavor!. Its in the present that the knowledge is improved after "testing" its worth, then passed on!.

I doubt that a particular knowledge can be kept within your own kin exclusively!.!.!. after all, our children marry and carry on!.!.!. and their children will do the same!.

Heck, I probably have a kin who has the same traits and knowledge as I do!. He/She may even be of a different race or culture than mine!.!.!.

Just sharing my two cents worth!.!.!. ;D

Your point is good!. As a matter of fact it is so good, it is implied in the Latin name of our species, Homo sapiens sapiens!.

The double "sapiens" means we are sapient of our own sapience!. Simply put, that means we apply knowledge to knowledge and become more knowledgeable and wiser for it!.

Science is ready to move the Chimpanzee from the genus Pan, into the genus Homo, where science thought it ought to have been when science discovered the innate intelligence of the chimp!. Political correctness of the day prevented it, and the chimp went into "Pan!."

But just because the chimp will soon be our cousin in our genus, (he is already our closest cousin genetically,) does not mean the chimp has sapience of its own sapience!. It will someday, if it survives!. But its new name will probably be something like Homo troglodytes sapiens!. Currently its name is Pan troglodytes!.

Excellent question!.

We must pass on our knowledge and experience or else there is no good reason for living!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
