The nature of philosophical reasoning forms a foundation for such abstract fields as economics, pure science and pure mathematics, law, theology, and political science!. Ethics is often considered a branch of philosophy but may be considered separate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Philosophy is the wisdom of men!. There are many men who have a great insight to mankind and the morals of social settings but they do not come very often!. Every century has about two or three great thinkers and produce writings on their thoughts of living!. Every century there are other men and women who would build on what had been said prior to their own century, and in time philosophies broaden and go deeper than what was thought before them!.
It is the thoughts of great thinkers from centuries past to this date that makes "philosophy" what it is today!.
There are many trains of thought that do not compliment each other and they have their own followers!. Plato, Kant, Nietzsche, Marx, Machiavelli, and Bertrand Russell all have their different philosophies and their own followers!.
Then there is the low brow philosophies of the common man!. Both the educated philosophies and the raw philosophies of the common man run rampant across the world!.
Philosophy is man's attempt at wisdom!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
