Absolutely not!. I say people around u can understand the real u even without ur explanation to them!. They read ur gestures!. But still it depends on how sincerely opened u r to ur surroundings (give and take human nature)!. U might dont want them to read u, u just want them to be able to understand u!. Think as u are a baby!. Babies cant explain what theyre into!. But mom knows when the baby cry coz of theyre hungry, wanna play, need to be cuddled, etc!. I know this someone who understands me better than i am (it sucks isnt it!?) He explained why was i doing things that i couldnt even explain to myself!. And i was kinda freaked out to know that i agree with him!. He reads me,but that doesnt matter,he keeps it to himself!. He's my husband now :-D Thats when i began to believe, explanations that came from ourselves sometimes its just a confirmation from us to them (they would say, yeah i knew so or yeah i know how u feel, etc)!. If u cant explain urself by words, ur gesture will explain it for them!. Just be sincere, never fake it, otherwise people might get u wrong!. Not necessarily!. I think it is in trying to explain yourself to others that you can gain a greater understanding of yourself!.
Having said that, you haven't told us what it is about yourself that you don't understand!. It can't be everything can it, or you wouldn't be able to ask the question!.
Begin by listing the simple things that you do know about yourself, such as your likes and dislikes in both objects and people and the sensations you get from them!. What makes you happy, what makes you sad!? Do you have a sense of belonging or your place in the world!? If so what is it!? This is all part of who you are and the more you allow yourself to become aware of these things, the better you will be able to share your thoughts with other people!. Listening to their replies could help a lot too as you can compare and contrast them with your own!. Chatting through things like that with a trusted friend will be a great start to improving your self awareness and your communication skills too!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Absolutely! Come on now, if you are all screwed up inside and don't know what is going on or how to make sense of your feelings, how do you expect anyone else to pick you apart to really get to know you!? You need to do some serious soul searching and deciding what makes you uniquely who you are!. Once you know who you are, number one you will find a new lease in life, you will be happy, and without any effort you will see that others can get to know you!.

Of course it takes a certain degree of maturity and knowledge to make evaluations which are correct!. As with wisdom it requires mature worship to be of any credit!.

same thing with yourself!.!.!.if you are paying much attention to it you will not see it clearly and people might see you even more clearly than you do!.
