Question: Do you think that love descends upon our souls by the will of God and not by the demand or plea of the
individual!?!?!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe that we are pure love energy and that a key , person or event opens access to that love !. For God is pure love and we are made in God's image !. Yet we need some thing to remember that and how it feels !.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that within our souls we all have the capacity for love!. It is a matter of igniting that capacity and I think the ignition comes unbidden!. You cannot demand it nor can you create it!. But I'm a bit sketchy on the "will of God" part!. Maybe in the most global and generic sense - I don't believe God exerts will on an individual human basis!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I believe we are presented with opportunities to grow as individuals, Love is a force that moves us in the right direction for that growth, I don't know that it is something God hands out when he's feeling like it, I think it is part of the divinity that we all carry and the ability to reveal it predispose the supposition that we have some control over it!. This is a thought provoking question that I had not considered!. Thanks for asking!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

As someone else has quibbled, the "will of God" is a separate argument around here, so let's modify the question to ask whether it is something we choose or something that just happens to us!. (Not that I object to your phrasing, but it does open extraneous issues!.)

Although I've read other attempts to categorize types of love (including the quite good book, "The Four Loves" by C!. S!. Lewis), I found something in Pope Benedict's first encyclical that really expresses this concept well: he refers to two of most prominent types, the Greek "eros" and "agape," as different "dimensions" of love!.

That really clears up the confusion!. They are separate dimensions, each independent of the other!. Eros (often thought of as romantic desire) is a yearning (Charles Williams's excellent translation) which comes upon us without our choosing it!. Agape (the love described in I Corinthians 13, written as "charity" in older English) is a matter of will; it is love choosing to behave lovingly!.

So the answer is both, but they are different kinds of love!. (And whether we can exercise agape by ourselves, without the grace of God, gets back to that side argument!. The Christian answer, of course, is that all such things are matters of God's grace, as is life itself!.)

God is love!.
Love is God!.
Love or God is forever descending (or ascending if you wish) to our bodies and our souls, for lack of a better word righ now, and the allowing of it or It through us is either allowed by us to enter our minds or souls or resisted as the case may be!. The way to spot resistance is to do an emotional check; positive or negative !? Feel good or feel bad!? After that it is a matter of fine tuning for degree!. Obviously one would not be interested in this fine tuning when in a very resistant mood!. That is all!. Cheers!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Not sure!. But i had a bad accident a year and a few months before i married!. All along in the ambulance my mother said i kept saying my BF name over and over!.and she knew then i would marry him and i did!.Yep God had a reason for that accident and yes i married him !. Now for near 37 years we have been together!. God patched it up between us cause i was tryin to run away from him then!.Yes God works in mysterious ways!.I had that wreck for some reason, broke my ankle and was laid up for months but we reunited and married a year and a few months afterwards!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yeah ! so it precedes, but the individuals has to ask ( and work) for it to meet and experience it, at given time!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you need to prove that God exists before we can have a meaningful conversation!. Your question is nonsense!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a firm believer in God having given free will!. Two people have to agree to be in love, or it can`t work!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
