That is a wonderful question!.

What you have described in your question itself is the exact nature of the universal mind!. Open to everything and yet attached to nothing!. We become that which you have asked in the question when we become one with this universal mind!.

Unknowingly or say unconsciously we tend to become one with this universal mind at one time or another on several occassions throughout the day but our perception of the physical world tends to pop us out of that one-ness again and again!.

Though rare at any one point of time in human history, there have always been individuals throughout the human history who learned to be one with this universal mind almost all the time without having to lose their physical-ness!. They became great teachers and were/are highly revered in different human cultures in which they existed!.

So to answer your question, I am that which you are asking just as you are that as well and I would love to be more of that more of the time!. :-)

No!. And who might that be who has!? I do hope that we should think not!. That esteem is given-up once anyone takes on life incarnate here; and thus are these two states possibilities forfeited!.

First, one does find need to close as swiftly as fancy openness to everything -- whether lateral to, above or below!. Wholesale openness is prohibitive!. Not even the body allows carte blanche permeation to foreign import!. That is, there must be guardians at the gate!. And this is healthiest, it assures the balancing and interchange of one to the other working simultaneously, an inflow and outflow, else one quickly collapses and dissolves oneself entirely, and decay would set in at once!.

Second, ours is a dichotomous universe!. To that, on being attached to nothing, the recognition that one is somehow attached to nothing binds one to that state as surely as if one were still in it!. While such a state may truly qualify as being detached, even the state of being detached is a bound state, because the individual is detached “from” a previous condition!.

And so there is no escaping this seeming, reciprocal strangeness; and no mind that is a mind continues as such that does not abide this law and principle, for the mind is the quintessential paradox itself -- is ground zero -- and the form and functions that are the opposites themselves are integral to its very construction and that of this universe's!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It would be dishonest to say that I did! I do not think this is very probable!. I don't know of anyone in my whole 60 years that could honestly say that their mind was 'open' to everything! No one I know could say that they were attatched to absolutely nothing either!.
There are so many new conversions from the old ways, happening so fast, it's hard to even keep up, let alone consider them!.
As for attatchments, we have families!. Those that do not or choose not to have, usually have a pet they are attatched to!.

Its tendency of a mind to be open to all and attach to none!. Any single attachment can lead mind to to take rest on that particular thought and mind is born restless entity!. any kind of rest cam make it vegetable!.

No, I'm not that perfect, yet, but I do try to "believe all things"!.!.!. ie keep an open-mind to learning more!. To me, this is the basis of faith!. No matter how much I learn, there is always more!.!.!. and God will always be my guide (my heart recognises God's presence, whenever I'm learning something that has been inspired by Him)!.
