well, literally see, i think i know the answer!.

There was this case of a man who lost his vision at the age of 7 or so!. It was relatively early, but he was able to see for a little while!.

Anyway, doctors did surgery to repair his vision (his brain was fully intact, it was just his eyes)!.

They did so, and although he could "see", he didn't see the same things you and i do!.

Since he lost his vision at an early age, he didn't hardcode in the ability to discern between visible objects!. For example, we tend to ignore things that don't move in our peripheral vision!. We dont' do this consciously, it just happens!. We are immediately aware of shading and how to interpret it in terms of "how far am i from that rock" without consciously thinking about it!.

He could not do this!.

I can't really say what he saw precisely, but it wasn't what we see!. It probably was really confusing to him!. It would be similar to seeing everything really blurry!.

I think thats how little babies see things!. You know we're born with twice as many neurons as adults!. We absorb information like a sponge, so we quickly learn how to understand what we see!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When i was a baby, obviously i didnt really think!.

But when i was really young, i thought the world was a happy place where adults were always righteous and moral, where there were lots of food, lots of friendly people, etc!. Nothing saddened me obviously because i lacked to think rationally!.

When i was 8 i realized i was living in a fantasy land and my concept of the world eventually fell apart!.

I now see things objectively, i analyze and now i have my own opinion on most subjects!. I was a kid who swallowed a lot of garbage for no reason, i also spewed a lot of garbage for childish purposes!.

I guess it depends on the baby but i think most of them will not have any opinion!. Or maybe those babies who do think perceive the world as a friendly place/environment because of their parents who pour love them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
