both, If you have people around you that, care about you ,and if you want to be better then that's what can help you to be better , but you have to feel it from your soul not just your head!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think that someone's word gives you an urging desire to be better!. It's hard to want to be better if nobody cares about your progress!. And it also depends what kind of word it is!. If it's a word that implies that the person doesn't think you'll improve, you'll probably want to improve just to prove that person wrong!. However, if it's an encouraging word, you want to do better so that you don't let that person down!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It could be anything!. People change all the time, and they have to desire to change in the first place, or else they won't change!. I thiink that they can want to change through:

1) Someone motivating, and supporting, or setting a great example
2) a movie (maybe a character in it, who's really learned, and became an amazing person)
3) A death in someone you loved

Through things that motivate you, you feel the desire to be better!.!. So, I thinks it's your desire to be better that changes you!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
