Intelligence with lack of emotion, can very easily turn into cruelty!.!.!.!. I could even respect one for their emotions even if they prove they lack the degree of intelligence that would attract me in the first place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com yes I would respect them!.!. Intelligence & emotions are not in the same zipcode in the brain!.!.but when you feel the emotions the receptor's travel back in forth (like I know anything) to help you to remember things!. Not all intelligent people have emotional control, and without the emotions, and empathy to go with having knowledge could get ugly, having the smarts doesn't mean you know everything!. That difference would be called Wisdom, which is learned from experiencing pain and emotions that go along with life!.!.!.and having wisdom on top of intelligence requires an emotional backbone!. So, would you respect an intelligent person MORE if they broke down and cried because they failed to get a promotion, or shot someone who cut them off driving, or yelled at a waitress for getting an order wrong!? Even Science Officer Spock on Star Trek ended up showing emotion on occasion even though he believed emotions are not logical!. Intelligence SHOULD be respected - it is something people NEED MORE OF!. I NEVER could DISRESPECT an intelligent person for lacking emotion - that would make ME a total hypocrite, because I DO NOT respect STUPIDITY no matter how much "emotion" stupid people possess!!Www@QuestionHome@Com I think we see and are attracted to really intelligent people everyday!. Especially those with confidence!. I know now, at 31, that intelligent guys, are so appealing! I love someone I can communicate with!. However!.!.!. If you are attempting to have a romantic relationship with a very intelligent guy, whom you respect for his knowledge, hard work, success, etc!.!.!.!. THERE MUST BE MORE! An attraction always helps too, but for women, we thrive on that emotional connection! We need it as much as or more than men need sex!. I dated a guy for 6 months who claimed to be an emotional, sensitive guy, but could never show or verbalize on an emotional level!. He would not tell me he liked me, or that he missed me after not seeing me for 2 weeks when out of the country!. But yet, he called me everyday, and wanted to go out all the time!. And without any emotional connection to this guy, he gave me nothing to hold on to or attach myself to, as far as he goes!.!.!.!. and it ended at that 6 month mark!. I felt like that was enough time for the two of us to see if things would proceed in the right direction!. It was sortof sad, as he was a nice guy, generous, we had great intellectual conversations!. But without him giving me even an inch of emotions, it would never go anywhere!. YES! I definitely could and can respect someone for their intelligence!.
