How about this way of looking at it!?

Everything is in a constant state of flux, eternally changing, including you, other people, your environment etc!.

Now say you meet someone for the first time and for whatever reason they are extremely rude!.

Sometime passes and then you meet that person again!. You may have an instant negative knee jerk reaction to them based on your past experience!. And yet due to the constant flux of the universe, that person is someone completely new, and besides you don't know what led person to be rude on the earlier occasion anyway - they may be a really nice person who just happened to have had a really bad day,

This then is both their karma and your karma!.
They must work to dispel the negative impression they created and you must work to dispel your negative view of a part of the world!.

We all create karma - poor impressions of ourselves in others and poor impressions within ourselves of what is outside!.

Habitual acts reinforce this bad karma, the more one behaves badly the more it is expected of you!.

I don't know if your karma follows you into a new incarnation like some cosmic paint daubed on your soul, or, whether perhaps the world experienced is created from such karma, so, even if you come back a clean slate you enter a world full of karma some of which you created!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If it is just a one-shot deal!.!.!.Karma could still exist because sometimes you witness it happening when something happens to you (good or bad) that you did to someone earlier!. You learn lessons of life this way and I have seen Karma happening to me and others!. Sometimes what goes around, comes around!.

I don't think it only pertains to reincarnation and that things happening to you now are because of how you were in your "past life", if there was such a thing!. Who knows for sure about anything like that !?Www@QuestionHome@Com

When you look at people like Gauss, Mozart, Newton Leibniz, Von Neuman, who showed genius at an early age, you can either assume that statistics allow for such rare occurrences, or wonder what causes they made for such capability, and when!. If you don't make the statistics assumption, and believe that causes produce effects, then karma from previous lives becomes an alternative explanation!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
