Life is both!.

Unplanned pregnancy is chance, but planned pregnancy is a choice to bring life into the world!. Getting cancer is a chance, but deciding whether to fight it or not is a choice!. So, the person has the choice to try to live or the chance of dying!. At the same time, driving over the speed limit is choice, but getting in a wreck and killing yourself/someone else is chance!.

People can't decide their fate!. They can choose to try to avoid things that will cause harm to them or the people they love, but there are always chances something will come up and take life away!.

OK let's play a bit with this idea - when you have two things to choose from, how do you know that they were not put there by chance!? The biggest 'chance' factor in every human being's life is the accident of birth itself!. If you are born to deprived and distressed circumstances - how limited are your choices in life!? You may have no access to an education, to opportunity, to a career, to self-sufficiency and financial security!. And how hard it is for such people to make a choice of their choices in every aspect of life! It's OK for us who were blessed by chance to discuss these issues objectively and academically, but swathes of humanity are doomed by chance to have no choices!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I for one have no idea but i think it may be both!.!.!. I mean you are given alot of choices that you have to make and in order to live!. What to where, where to go, or even bigger life changing choices such as to end another persons life (i mean to end a sick persons life in a hospital)!. Some people do not call it chance but determinism, and somebody once said: "Life is like a game of cards!. The hand you are dealt is determinism; the way you play it is free will!."
