The desire to learn is instinctive and, like other instincts, is not shared equally by every individual!.
When I was younger, I loved to learn but hated school!.
I still love to learn!.
We do not all learn the same way, nor should we be forced to try to do so!.
Many of the greatest minds of all history were essentially self-educated!. If you can't stop your curiosity, you will find a way to learn!.
If public education is provided in a society, it should provide the basics so a person can read and write and deal with mathematics in such a way that they can benefit from further education!.

If children are forced through a standardized curriculum so that, in theory, they all will "know" the same things, many will merely drop out and take their chances in a society where a pretty face is valued more than a probing mind!.

Curiosity cannot be forced!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is it the value of learning or the value of education!? People learn everyday and don't have to spend money to do so but education is different!. Education can be extremely costly depending on the situation!. Most people shell out money for a higher level of education so that they qualify for jobs with larger salaries!. Basically, education leads to money!. Learning on the other hand doesn't always!. A person can learn the material needed for a certain career which can potentially increase the person's salary but that same person can learn from his or her mistakes and will not receive money for it, only a life lesson!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Education as such involving learning is not what costs such a lot!.!.!.!.!. it is organized education that leads to focused learning which leads to appropriate certificates that guarantee a minimum proficiency in specified area of learning!.!.!. in other words it is the Degree or Diploma that costs so much money!.!.!.!.!. in fact, this money is mostly spent like an investment for multiple returns in due course of time through higher earnings!.!.!.!.!. on the other hand, a true seeker of knowledge would find these organized endeavors rather inadequate since these degree/diplomas are more concerned about the minimum required level of knowledge rather than maximizing learning!. In real life, the organized education on which we spend so much money simply ensures entry into a good job!.!.!.!.!.!. thereafter what counts is how much we learn further on the job and outside, which comes through experience without any money being specifically spent for the purpose as such!. In the ultimate analysis, it is this informal learning through real experience that makes much of the difference in one's life!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
