Wow!!!! Yesterday someone blocked me because he said I was too!.!.!.!.!. antagonistic for his taste!!! ( I just mentioned that someone is systematically thumbing me down in his questions and this, he thinks, is!.!.!.!.too antagonistic!!)

Does this make him a hero!?!?!?!? Did my antagonism make him a hero!?!?!?!?
I just want a doctor!!! Some cure, anything!!
Or shoot me!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

For most definitions of "hero", someone could be a hero without there existing an antagonist!. For instance, someone who rescues a child from burning house or who gives a kidney to save another person would be, by most definitions, a hero without an antagonist!. That is, unless you argue that the antagonist is something metaphysical like suffering or misfortune, or something impersonal like a tornado or fire!. But if you would argue that then it would seem a little silly to ask the question in the first place!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes it seems to be the case!.

A hero earns his merits on the basis of a RELATIVE evil!.

Let us assume that superman existed!. Let us also make the assumption that we lived in a PERFECT world where there was no crime!.
In this case, the word "super" in superman refers to a man's ability to trump the laws of physics above and beyond the "normal" capacity of everyone else!.
Does that mean he is not a hero!? Well, in the moral sense, no, he is not a hero (that is, he is not a 'savior'; there is nothing to save)!.
In the physical sense, yes, he is powerful (but hero has intrinsic moral dimensions)!.

In other words, if there was no such thing as evil, superman would be a clown or a sideshow!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.Although a struggle, overcome, with a victory over danger and adversity is heroic, one does not necessarily need an "event" to be linked to heroism!.!.!.many of my heroes are humble quiet people who have mastered the art of giving without expecting praise!.!.!.no drum rolls, no red carpets or ticker-tape parades!.!.!.just shear humanitarianism with no antagonistic or cataclysmic event with which to be linked!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

not exactly!.
There are challenges for the hero to overcome, but they do not always involve an antagonist!.
A hero is someone who has done something "heroic" or "brave"!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.yes!.!.!.
!.!.!.Heroes are parents, teachers, doctors, policemen, firemen and our military armed forces!.!.!.to name a few!.!.!.
!.!.!.yet, there are many, many more antagonist!.!.!.to act otherwise!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes!. everything has it's opposite!. without the antagonist we would not understand the concept of a hero!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well I suppose you could include heros to include one who triumphs over themselves and their inner evils, rather than an outside antagonistWww@QuestionHome@Com

Antagonist is the second HERO or VILLAIN!.

We do not always want Villain to be the HERO!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

pretty much!. the hero can only be a hero if they are fighting against someone/something else, which is the antagonist!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

makes no sense what you just said!.!.!.whats wrong being an agnostic and what does it have anything to being a heroWww@QuestionHome@Com
