I have been told I have an old soul, from a very trusted friend!. He is older, and we have discussed every issue and topic under the sun!. It is having a maturity beyond your years, and an understanding of many of life's greatest and worst problems!. An old soul is out to seek the intangible spiritual and emotional meaning of people and events that occur in life!.
I think the faster and more complex the world gets the less likely we have old souls!. People are so materialistic, and tied to objects!. We would have more old souls if we got back to the basic necessities and didn't base our lives on what objects we obtain that we relate to!.

It usually describes a person who is either wise beyond their years and ahead before their time in terms of thinking!. Let's say you're 17 years old and feel for some reason you don't fit well in your generation!. More likely you will be quite different from your peers!.
