No!. I think that when we come up with the morals, we don't have the ability to incorporate all the other things that might be going on at the time when the decision actually needs to be made!. We have a tendancy to think that people who act in morally bad ways have no morals, but I think that more often than not the situations that we end up in are a lot more complex than they seem!. We make decisions that turn out to be immoral because in the heat of the moment we all make mistakes!.

Moral principles never take into account the emotional component of the actor, and feelings are cloudy because they seem to overshadow the whole situation when they really only effect the individual!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I would say yes!. The barometer is the crime rate!. If the authorities are doing more about being good citizens, then, the crime rate should go down!. If the govt is able to provide jobs, cheap housing for those who are in need!. There will be less crime in the streets!. If the local govt is able to put more kids in schools and worthwhile activities, there will be less kids in prison and rehab centers!. Yes, we have been talking too much about morality and doing too little about it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

How easy it is for us to "moralise!." That is, to comment and critique on the morals of others; to make gratuitous observations on the subject of morality, and to pedantically lecture on the general state of morals in the Country and the world!.
