Modesty doesn't take any work, it's something that just is!. People who are arrogant are usually expecting a specific response from someone that is why they brag, etc!. When someone is modest it is their natural state of being and they aren't expecting ANYTHING in return!. If you are intelligent and modest it doesn't matter to you whether other's know your level of intelligence or not; arrogant people have to shout it from the rooftops in various ways and situations!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't be intelligent and not be arrogant sometimes!. Even if you're a modest person, you still have arrogance in your mind, people just don't see it!. You can't help but feel adequate or superior!. I think modest people are still arrogant, but they just don't dwell on it too much or they don't like the feeling so they go away of that state or place of arrogance!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think this hidden intelligence is called wisdom and the modest thing is about seeing if anyone else has intelligence and from personal eperience if they are wrong then some people may correct them and oters will just walk on!. Correction should be made when several ideas are jumbled up!. But I would say that arrogance is the opposite to wisdom, arrogance is how you find the extent of your knowledge!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
