I would have to say that man's greatest fear was best expressed in the movie Coach Carter when he kept asking therm what their greatest fear was !. Finally it came through to one and all, man's greatest fear is that he will succeed and shine like no others , but what we should be doing is not letting others set our goals , instead we should set about accomplishing our goals and that in itself gives others freedom to be successful also !.
I hope I made this clear enough !.

I also had to stop and think awhile at the end of The Bruce Willis movie where he was a Marine sent to get one Doctor and ended up bringing back a whole tribe risking his and his men's lives in the process !.
The quote at the end was :
The only way for evil to win is for good men to do nothing " I thought about this for quite awhile and then it really dawned on me that what was said was get off my tail and count for something , don't be one who whines and complains while the crooks of the world take things from us, but stand up and be counted among those who do instead of talk !.
FREEDOM AIN'T FREE ! THINK ABOUT THAT ONE , AND THEN COMPLAIN WHEN AMERICAN TROOPS DEPLOY TO HELP THOSE WHO CANNOT HELP THEMSELVES!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This one wanted to know who this one is, quickly realizing that many aspects of a person can be removed or replaced or lost and yet the person remains!.!.!.!.

What is the origin of all that exist and what is ones relationship with any existing creator if a creator exist!?

Amazingly, after more than fifty years of study, searching, seeking and questioning everything, of experiencing, reflecting and looking for this ones own answers from within this ones self, this one arrived a Buddhism and now practices Zen!.

What is "reality" how can we place things in the proper context without establishing what is real!.
It is difficult to elicit concrete answers about metaphysics in philosophy!.
It seems that the only foundational certainty that I can conclude is that I am aware of MY existence!.
But further probing of reality reveals that I am only able to say that it is reasonable to assume that other non-self objects and entities do exist!.
As a child I had already work out many philosophical concepts on my own!.
But I love learning how I came to similar conclusions as highly respected philosophers throughout history!.
It seems to be my calling!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

During grade school, I read the book The Giver for language arts class!.

Before starting the book, my teacher had the class answer the question "What would be your perfect world, your Utopia!?" (or something like that)!.

While everyone else pretty much just started describing their worlds (one of my friends made up this quite funny outer-space type thing where everyone ate ketchup as their main source of substance o_0), I kept thinking and thinking, yet I could always pick out something wrong with the world that I made!.

At the end of the exercise, I realized that Utopias were impossible, and that perfection was as well!. It isn't quite the deepest darkest question that I ever contemplated (42 would probably be the answer to that question :P), but it was what started everything else!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Does an omnipotent being exist!? I went to a Catholic school for grades Pre-K through 5th!. And since 4 years old, I believed in the supremacy of "god" and how you would go to hell if you sinned, fervently!. And growing up in that Catholic school, I thought there was nothing else but Christianity and such!. And that everything else was wrong!. Then, one day, in 3rd grade ( i think) I was told The Bible was the most important book in life and how reading other books that denied god or questioned his existence was sick; I had this rebellious urge to questiont them; to question their teachings!. I then read The Bible, but seriously READ it; I found all these gaps and things that made no sense!. I read about dinosaurs and cavepeople, how that contradicted Adam and Eve!. !.And since then, I have been reading everything I can lay my hands on!. From Dr!. Seuss to Kurt Vonnegut and Darwin!. Everything I read contradicted something that someone else said was written in stone!. And so now, I look to philosophy for answers, for new ideas, theories, anything!. I have this irresistable urge to learn more and more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I didn't start asking questions until I read Playboy's inverview with Ayn Rand!. So then I read Atlas Shrugged!. And the one question that kept gnawing at me was:
"Why isn't the establishment telling me what Rand tells me!?"

I discovered it is because the "establishment" is one of two things:
1!. Liberal educators who hate Rand's "take no prisoners" attitude toward morals and specifically what her morals are!.
2!. Conservatives who are afraid to mention her name because they will lose the swing votes from people who are liberal enough to fit in with group 1!. This conservative group is made up of apologists for Rand (apologist : noun--
a person who argues to defend or justify some policy or institution; "an apologist for capital punishment" http://dictionary!.reference!.com/browse/a!.!.!. ), people who would rather leave her name unspoken but when it comes up says things like "I agree with her principles but not with her conclusions", or "I don't like the way she writes, she's abrasive, but she does have some good ideas!." These people don't help the cause of reason!.

The second group of conservatives are those who are "fighting the good fight" with the use of Rand's philosophy--but again without mentioning her by name most of the time!. They advance her ideas very well by NOT divulging that they got the ideas from her or no one would listen!. Many of these groups, think tanks, politicians, policy wonks, and educators are highly respected, very powerful in Washington and elsewhere, and are gaining new converts all the time!.

The last group of Randian thinkers are the ones who tirelessly work to advance her ideas and they use her name!. There just are not nearly as many as those who fit the second group!.

My big philosophical question was answered immediately!. I didn't have to wait!. The english teacher who let me read it for class didn't like it; and my english teacher the next year in college insulted me by saying I would "grow out of" Rand's ideas!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

People can learn the lesson of life by studying and reading but the real lessons are learned through experience!. It is in the Mind that we can know and be known!.

A person that seeks truth no matter where it takes them is a courageous person and not all care to invest their that much effort!.

I found in my personal life (studies) that there are things which move us to higher levels and one of the biggest is responsibility to and for others!. I wonder if the higher meanings are looked for to reach ever higher selves!. To me Philosophy is the search for meanings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Is there a God!? Sounds like such a simple question, but has so many ramifications for a human life!. Is there divine order, or is the world made up of randomly evolved beauty!?

Does my tiny speck of a life have any real meaning!? If it doesn't, is there anything I can do to MAKE it have meaning!?Www@QuestionHome@Com
