You hang around your body for a few days, probably go to your funeral!. Then you wait for a time and hang with some of the people you knew, if they're still there!. Then you go to a higher plane where energy is very intense and you have nothing to do but recall your past life!. Like watching a movie, your life is replayed and reviewed!. If most of your experiences were positive, you could say you were in heaven, and vice versa!. Then after you finish reviewing your life you wait for a sort time and are compelled by the desires you got from your last life to look for another body, and with the help of a spirit guide, you find a baby about to be born and enter it's body as the baby is drawing it's first breath immediately after birth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

First of all there can be no memory as the body and mind die and are buried or cremated!. With death is the death of personality too, as personality is how the mind imagines itself!. What is left is consciousness or awareness which are said to be the soul or aspects of it!.

And this point there are several theories and all of them may be true depending on the how much the soul was developed during the life it spent on earth!. An enlightened being would go to heaven, or more correctly be in heaven as he was in that state before the death of the physical body!.

For others it may be reincarnation or recurrence!. For some it may be that their soul is dispersed and 'recycled'!.

also we don't die all at once!. There are traditions which believe that the body can emote for up to 40 days after death!. And in some cases the brain stops to function and starts to die long before we take our last breath!. But in the end awareness can continue after the death of the brain!. You cease to exist in the physical world, but you continue to exist in the memory of those who may have loved and cared about you!.

Your energy dissipates and mingles with all the other energy in the universe!.

If it happens prior to the Rapture of the Church, and If you are a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ (or were at some point during your life on earth), you will immediately be face to face with the Lord!. If not, you will immediately find yourself in Torments, which is the waiting room for the Lake of Fire!. When I say "you", I mean your soul, of course!. Some religions say your soul will either go to heaven or hell!. Hindus believe you will be reincarnated (reborn) into animals if you are unpure until some time then you are reborn a human again!.
