We tend to identify ourselves with the contents of consciousness!.!.!.our thoughts, the things we remember, how we feel about certain things!. By thinking that what we are *essentially* composed of these things, we make an error in thinking by attributing ourselves to our thoughts; i!.e!., confusing consciousness with life!. We assume that the contents of consciousness is our true identity!.

When we find ourselves making the confusion, we begin to think of ourselves as being made of two things: our physical body and a nonphysical consciousness!. When we attribute our identity to the latter, we assume that, because it's a different thing than the physical body, it must continue to exist even if the body should cease to function!.

However, life and consciousness are not the same thing!.!.!.otherwise, any time sombody is unconsciousness, such as in surgery or during a coma, that person would no longer be considered "alive!."

Borel has it backwards!. Consciousness always remains!. Form, content, identity are all temporary and subject to change!. An amnesia patient may lose their identity but the sense of Self or Consciousness is still present!. That is because the formless is permanent!. The after life signifies existence after earthly life!. Consciousness precludes existence, or else how would one know that they exist!? As long as there is awareness of 'me' or Self-awareness there is consciousness!. Yes we exist after we die (and before we were born)!. We exist in history; remaining fixed until time travel !.!.!. we exist in matter transformed; flesh and blood transfered to worms meals and regenerated to the Earth !.!.!. and spiritually we exist in God!.

First of all there can be no memory as the body and mind die and are buried or cremated!. With death is the death of personality too, as personality is how the mind imagines itself!. What is left is consciousness or awareness which are said to be the soul or aspects of it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes our bodies will decompose but our spirits will live on forever part of your spirit stays the same and that part goes to heaven or romes the earth or goes somewhere very unpleasent,Then the rest of your spirit goes to another body part of your traits live on in the new person!
So your actions now can affect someone elses life and its not science considering ive had many near death expiriences and trust me i know ive seen first hand plus you can explain people i know single celled orgamisms evolving blah blah blah if that were true why can't people still be forming from the organisms!?

There are many theories about eternal life!. But I prefer believe the words of Jesus Cristh in the Holy Bible!.Jesus teach clearly about this !.
He says there are life after life!. There are many scientific studies about !.
