This is in reference to the emotion and trauma created by the crime, not to be confused with the severity or horror of the act!. A stolen pencil is still a stolen pencil, a shot in the leg is a still a shot in the leg, even years later!. We overcome it and move on, but the crime remains!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends on the crime- and the person judging the crime- Has several decades lessened the crimes that Hitler and his cronies perpetrated!? - To the ones who escaped punishment, and the leader of Iran - sure!. How about all the people who were slaughtered in Cambodia!? There are many things that can be lessened with time - it depends on the kind of things you are talking about and the people you are talking to!. Do people rehabilitate and change!?
