By default!. You are right, doing nothing is doing something, even if it is by default!. Somehow you come to the fact that you did something!. It is a matter of taking responsibility for actions, even if that action was a lack of action, or a reaction!.
Not speaking is lying because when faced with the responsibility you are forced to tell the truth or lie by default when not saying anything!.
It's all a matter of trust!. Even not telling the truth by not saying anything, assuming you are doing nothing you are lying to yourself about who you are because you should feel confident enough to make proper desicions and do what your morals have taught you are right by honor, not by deception!. You are wrong on both counts!. The general use meaning of "doing nothing" is in fact something!.!.!.!.!. one must still breath, and their heart must beat, etc!. The literal meaning of "Doing nothing" would require death!. At which point you will be doing absolutely nothing!.!.!.!.!. and not doing something!. Things will be done to you, but you will be doing nothing because you will no longer exist!. The act of existence is something, therefore while alive one is always in action!.

It is absurd to suggest that not speaking is lying!.!.!.!.!.!. lying requires the intentional telling of non-truths!.!.!.!.!. which requires speach!. Not speaking is simply not speaking!. Sometimes not speaking could be an attempt to hide something, but hiding is not lying!.

Doing nothing is still "doing something" in the sense that you've made the choice to take no action!.
