Fossils (from Latin fossus, literally "having been dug up") are the preserved remains or traces of animals, plants, and other organisms from the remote past!.

Fossil affected out knowledge of the development of life greatly, because it showed us how we evolved, how we got here, how things adopted, etc!. Fossils improved our understanding of biology and many more!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

The fossilized remains of plants, insects and various animal life has shown us how the process of evolution has taken place by showing us the steps or some of the steps that have taken place as well as providing us with a time line for said events!.

by showing us how life on Earth has Evolved over its life,this shows us many things!. for example it shows how the Dinosaurs lived and in some cases what they ate with the dinosaur footprints scientists could work out how fast they could run!. all this information i have seen on walking with the dinosaurs very interesting!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
