Question: Can be considered a friend a person who always behaves allusively, never telling the entire truth in the face!?

No, not someone who always behaves that way (sometimes, perhaps -but not always)!. Friendships are based on respect, love and trust (much like marriages) -if you're never getting the full truth from someone, how can you trust that person (and how can you not wonder whether that person really trusts you)!? I'd consider such a person as an acquaintance rather than a true friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

eh, yes!.!.!.I think so!.!.!.it's just that you know that they aren't completely giving you the whole truth but because you know that about them, you can do something about it!. Whereas with someone else that you have no idea if they are telling the truth or not, there is no hope in the future unless you begin to discover if what they are telling you is the truth or not!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If they don't make you feel like cr*p and are there for you when you need them, then yes!.

The question is, are you a friend, if they don't trust you!. The allusiveness of the person also indicates they are not a friend!. You have to see if they change their behaviour once they know it hurts you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It really depends on what you're looking for in a friend!. When I'm sitting on a bar stool, drowning my brain cells, and looking for somebody to listen to my unintelligeable ramblings, I'm happy for anybody who is there!. At that point, I'm often not looking for somebody who is truthful, but just somebody who is there and might be willing to share a giggle!.

At other times, like when I need to move some furniture, I find out who my true friends are!. I can tell them by the fact that they say they'll be there to help, and they show up!.

Now, when I'm looking for an "honest to god" good friend, or for a lover, I will never be comfortable without a reasonable amount of transparency and truthful answers to the questions that I ask!. It is only through these traits that I can find peace and trust!.

But usually, I'm spending more time at the bar!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No!. Friendship to me means trust!. An acquaintance yes!. A friend, no!. How can you ever be friends with someone you can't fully trust!? Probably why I have so many acquaintances and very few but valued friends!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, but never a good friend!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
