Question: Is living forever a blessing or curse!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
In this world, it would be a curse because the world is getting worse!.

In a perfect world, it would be a blessing!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Like everything else, living forever also have both positive and negative aspects!.

Positive part is that, since you are living infinite amount of time, you can learn and experience things infinitely!.

Negative aspect is that since suffering is inevitable, if you are living infinite amount of time that will mean you are going to suffer infinitely!.

I dont think looking at things in black & white is a good idea!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Depends on where you are living!.
There are those who have faith in God's grace in our afterlife!.
There are those who have faith in themselves and the world without God!.
One group will spend an eternity with God, and that is a blessing!.
The other group will spend an eternity without God!.
The only other place to go to other than God's kingdom is Sheol, that would be a curse!.
It is in the here and now that you make up your mind about your living quarters in the afterlife!. The individual is the one who makes their own bed to sleep in come eternity!. So !.!.!. living forever as a curse or a blessing is dependent on the individuals decision!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think it all leads back to whether you fear the thought of dying!. and that just makes it even more of a puzzle!.
i would go for living forever myself, because the only thing i could do is better myself!.
i know this will never happen, because i know one day i will have to pay the price of death for living such a life as mine!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When I was younger, I was aware of death!. well it was all over the news, in the obituaries etc!. But thought of my own mortality never struck me, nor was I ever worried about it!. I never thought of it B4 planned anything!. If we are to live for ever, I am sure all people will think that way!. Does anyone here consider youth as a curse!? Then how come we ever consider immortality as a curse!? Lack of thought about death is part of youth!.

1000 years ago, average man in Europe lived just 30 years!. They married early, had lots of children, and their laws reflect the expectations they had in life!. Today we hope to see 80th birthday!. We marry late, we have few or no children, our hopes & dreams and laws (and customs) reflect this longer life expectancy and Europe is becoming a continent of the aged (with very low birth rate to replenish the stock)!. So if we lived for ever, we would have adopted to it and would not be scared off of having to endure stupid politicians or nasty mother in laws!. Nor would we be put off by having to work 8 hours every day for the rest of eternity! we already do that longer than the entire lifetime of a man in Europe in 1000 AD!

So what do I think!? I think it is a curse (for all of above), since I think I am scared of being bored witless by same old things for thousands of years to come!. And my failures will haunt me for every day, for the rest of eternity and then there is of course those who are imprisoned for ever (can't release them since the victims are still out there), and if I were too poor with no means of escaping that then I shall be suffering in poverty for!? Yes, Ever!. Basically, what ever I am, there will be no deliverance, EVER! So all in all, I think its not such a good idea!. lolWww@QuestionHome@Com

I like this question!. Only if my children and grandchildren as well as myself could forever!. No one else, not their spouses or in-laws!. Selfish I know!! And only if we do not suffer and can re heal ourselves or grow new arms and legs etc!. if we lose them!. Well you did ask!. In that respect I would opt for yesss!!Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it would depend on your physical and mental health!.
If it meant not physically ageing, or mentally deteriorating,I think it would be great!. All that change in life over the centuries,it would be amazing to actually be their and experience it!.
Brilliant!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

its a curse!.!.!.imagine, how many loved ones you will miss!? and after missing afew, you will turn to a hating-monster who can not survive in the society!.!.!.i suppose you mean physically living forever, cuz mentaly, you will die very soonWww@QuestionHome@Com

Both!.

In times of joy and happiness and plenty, it can be great fun!.

In times of want and sorrow and famine!.!.!.

To quote an immortal literary character!.!.!.
"Do you have any idea how hungry a man can get, if he doesn't eat, but doesn't die!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Death is the only way to escape the universe's overwhelming concept of infinity!. Think about it!. Living forever would be a curse!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think it's a curse!. I think one lifetime of this wretched world is enough!. You could never experience Heaven (if you lived a good life)!.

It would suck living forever, in my opinion!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Curse because what makes everything meaningful is that we know they don't last forever, thus we treasure them!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

a curse!.!.!.u will have to be around when all ur family dies then it will be just u and u will be there when the world ends and u will never be able to see ur family an friends in heaven and it would just suck!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
