If the result doesn't seem important, then maybe it was never that important to begin with!. There are situations where the battle or the chase is more fulfilling than the victory, but if the goal is really as important as we perceived it shouldn't lose its value once attained (as a car which becomes "used" once title has transferred from the dealer)!.
Sometimes the "limits" are merely steps toward the goal rather than the actual goal -a battle has been won, but not yet the war!. The thrill of the victory is overshadowed by the task that remains ahead (not that it isn't important, but it isn't the ultimate goal)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Because becfore you cross the limit, and reach that goal you havn't been there yet, so you really don't know what it's like, and once you get there, all is revealed, and you're actually in the moment and realize being here is not as good as it looked like from the other side!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You mean does the thrill of the hunt exceed the actual kill!? Sure, why not!?
You know how you're filled with anticipation before an event or holiday but after it's over you wonder what the big deal was!?
That's how it is for me!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most likely yes!. It's the adrenaline!. Or the anticipation of finally making it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It means U enjoy the process of achieving your goal & U know that U have done your best & U won't regret it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

!.!.!.it's a battle won!.!.!.so on to the next!.!.!.there are more "mountains" to climb while enjoying the view from on highWww@QuestionHome@Com

I reckon it is & that is why fighting for fictitious goals can be acceptable as a real life!.
