Thanks for a thought provoking question!
True courage is the result of deep conviction, which is really not connected in any way with either wisdom or the absence of it!. Conviction is caused by our values, which may as well be wise as unwise depending on how the particular value that creates the conviction is viewed!. In any case, courage involves taking of risks and it does seem unwise to those who do not subscribe to the value that has caused one to take the risk!. In other words, whether a courageous act is wise or not depends on the viewpoint of the observer or on a post facto evaluation of the consequences!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Courage requires knowledge of the pain of failure!. Running into a burning building, the source of bravery, is done without regard, or knowledge of the possible consequences!. But the second time one is faced with the burning building scene, and one knows the dangers, knows the pain that is possible, and is aware that it all could be a loss, with ones own mortality on the line, knowing all this, one still charges in to do the rescue, then that is courage!. Bravery occurs usually with lack of wisdom, but true courage occurs with certain knowledge of the risk!. Courage can be very rare!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Courage can be void of any thought or emotion!.
When an emergency ocurrs someone may do something courageous to save other people without even thinking about it!.
By the same token, someone may do a thing out of necessity that takes a lot of thought and wisdom!. And, in the end, is still courageous in its own way!.
It is largely circumstantial!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Courage requires some wisdom!. In order to be courageous one must know that something has to be done despite one's fears!. To simply stumble upon a solution, to act without knowledge, is just dumb luck (not courage)!.
