If you run aground on a shallow reef, it does not mean the ocean
is shallow!. It just lacks depth in places!. People are hard to fathom!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I loved Regwah's answer -take additional measurements to confirm the depth!. People can be quite deep, yet exhibit superficial traits at times (sometimes when you'd count on them being deep)!. Others can have just a point of depth in a shallow sea!. Sometimes it takes a lot of measurements to determine which you're dealing with!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It depends!. Are they deep and superficial!? Or are they just wearing the deepness as skin in certain crowds as one of the many tools of the trade to draw attention!?
I try to give the benefit of the doubt and assume there are many aspects to a person!. I've known few that were just one thing and one thing only!.!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Sugar, welcome to the real world!. Make peace with this now because you are going to keep finding this out about people!. Everybody (or so it seems) is trying to fit in and that makes them behave in superficial manners whenever they think it can put them closer to acceptance!. There are a few deep people left but they are hard to find!. Bless you!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

You can't change people like that by yourself!. Only experience will teach them!. So!.!.!.what's to be done is to sit back and observe!. Give advice when needed but only when they honestly are ready to be serious!.

Believe me, I've had to wait 8 years for my peers to catch up to my emotional intelligence!.

And that sounds completely conceited!.!.!.but I don't mean it that way!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Take a deep breath!.!.!.!. and let out a Looooong SIGH!!!!!!!

Ahhhh! That's much better!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Just mark it up as another of life's lessons learned!.
