Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: well i actually read the bible!. cover to cover!. twice!. and i gotta tell you, the bible is racism, genocide, and murder 101!. at least read Deuteronomy 20 to see what i mean!. killing non-believers is all God seems to care about between the 2nd half of Exodus to the end of the old testament!. and if you don't kill non-believers, with no mercy no less, god will do to you what he thought to do unto them!. you are to smash their pagan altars, kill all men and non-virgins, and marry their women!. if you have so much as mercy toward a baby, God will be angry and hurt YOU a lot by making pagans kill you!. over and over, the most of the bible is THAT!. i think you should quit browsing through it and read it!. but since you won't, at least read the book of Judges or Deut 20!. i recomend bibles like the new king james version because they use words like "you" instead of "thee" and therefore are easier to understand!. i think the reason bibles use crazy language like "thee" and "thy" is to make the genocide really hard to read about and understand by average people like me and you!. god may be good, but religion is evil!. and bible-based religions (by that i mean the ones that believe in moses, jesus, and mohamed, all of whom believe in moses) are the worst!. READ your bible before you talk about it!. and if you're too lazy to read it, read at least Deut 20!. but to get a fuller picture of the bible, you shoudl at least read the whole book of Judges or even any book, Exodus is good too!. Deuteronomy has the best (worst) stuff in it, that's the part that says gays must be stoned to death!. also any child that drinks, gambles, and dis-obeys his parents must be stoned to death by the whole village!. (and no, anyone who is thinking about drugs right now is missing the point, this stoning is one of the most painful ways to die)!. yeah!. god is good!. The ignorant people who wrote the story of Noah's Arc didn't know that 2 of every species of living things weighs over 100 million tons and Noah would have needed an Arc a few miles long!. Problem is this, you (500% of you) do not READ Bible with intelligence & patience!. You'll simply get all the good words there!. Now it's upto you, whether to follow that book or not!. Even a non-believer, one has to go through Bible, the way I used to read Bible without being a Christian, since it was gifted by the dad of one of my Christian friends! Nothing was wrong indeed!. Same way, if you manage time, you can go through any books like Bible----say Quaraan, Geeta etc just to make you rich in understanding!. What realistic sense or practical knowledge you would get by reading Romeo & Jul!.!.!.'Hamlet', The Pied Piper of Hamilton!? etc!?
