Y A is, in a way, right----only 'public' watching is not enough to understand all!. Anyway, let me remain within your question & answer---- YES, I do like watching people's conduct in public just to 'Watch'! I do not do so for "understanding" them, rather my "Watching" makes my knowledge rich & increase my understanding indeed! Same way, I do observe other things of my surroundings & by the by, understand them, from child to an too old guy's conduct, from animals to insects, from the very simple grass to an old banyan tree' conduct! I wonder to watch a tiny drop of dew on the edge of a grass & it's conduct! After a while, as sun rises, the dew disappear! It teaches me something, believe me!. Let me return to you again: especially in the public bus here in Bangladesh, it's so crowed---so crowded! Sometimes I see a woman holding the handle of the bus's door!. I hear someone yelling to others out of 'sympathy' (!) or could be out of 'courtesy'(!) , "Hi, let that women be in, let her be in!.!.!.!." without leaving his seat to offer her! :-( I do understand few of publics' conduct & the curse of the TIME! I beg your pardon before I wish to change your last line---" the more you observe ANYTHING, the more you understand THAT!. Thanks for such a question from which one can learn something!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Assuming that I know the motivation and intention for anyone's behaviour is bound to lead to inappropriate conclusions!.

A person can cross their arms because they are afraid, because they are cold, because they annoyed or angry!. They can cross their arms because they are tired, or sore, covering something that causes self-consciousness!. They may cross their arms to apply pressure to a sore muscle, hug themselves, or even to stretch!. To assume that the same behaviour means the same things each and every time is also likely to lead to inappropriate conclusions!.

Understanding is all what we make it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

yes, actually I do!.!.!. it's one of my strangest habits!. whenever I am in the street or even in a supermarket, I tend to sit down on a bench and just!.!.!. watch the people passing by!. I look at their faces, at their attitude and choice of clothes and I try to imagine what's behind their image!.!.!. what type of life they have, how do they look when they wake up in the morning, what makes them happy or sad, if they find fulfillment in their life!. most of my characters (I'm a writer) have borrowed their features and faces from those strangers I watched on one day or another!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
