Well, if you are refering to Buddhism it is the Noble Eightfold Path or in pali "Ariya Gamini Patipada"!. The eight factors are: right view, right intention, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness and right concentration!.
In other, more general words, the Path to nirvana or nibbana is the path which has an aim of extinguishing one's greed, aversion and delusion!. The total absence of these three from one's experience is nothing else then nibbana itself (at least in accordance to Theravada Buddhism, I don;t know what Mahayanist's schools might think of it)!. Sometimes nibbana is translated as "extinction" and it is this extinction of one's passions that it's meant by it!.

I hope this helps!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Middle path!.

In general, the Middle Way or Middle Path (Sanskrit: madhyamā-pratipad; Pali: majjhimā pa?ipadā) is the Buddhist practice of non-extremism!.

More specifically, in Theravada Buddhism's Pali Canon, the Middle Way crystallizes the Buddha's Nirvana-bound path of moderation away from the extremes of sensual indulgence and self-mortification and toward the practice of wisdom, morality and mental cultivation!. In later Theravada texts as well as in Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism, the Middle Way refers to direct knowledge that transcends seemingly antithetical claims about existence!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
