Question: Do you think God has a specific plan for each of our lives!?
Does God have each and every one of our days planned out, or is life more random!? Lets say your driving down the road and your going through a green light and a person runs the red light and BARELY misses you!. Would you say that could have been God intervening or was it simply "luck" or "chance!?"Www@QuestionHome@Com

Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I believe God has given us the gift of free will to consciously make decisions in our every day lives!. We can choose the "right" path or the "wrong" path!.
As far as that car barely missing you, many people would say it just wasn't your time to go!.
Others might say you were just lucky!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

God knows EVERYTHING before it happens!. As for your example: it could go either way, I think!. There is more than one powerful spirit!. There's God!.!.!.and there is Satan!. If something wrong happens, if that person were to hit you, you could not blame it on God!. Satan tries to condemn as many souls as possible, and quite frankly, his attempts do not fail frequently!. If that person were to hit you, it could have been Satan taking your soul before you had a chance to redeem yourself or it could have just been your time to go!. But since the person DOESN'T hit you, it's probably God saving you, opening your eyes to realize that you need Him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I don't believe in fate or destiny!. However we got here, the
outcome of our lives is a result of our life choices and random
chance!. That's where free will comes into play,to a limited
extent!. No doubt a rich and educated person has more freedom than a poor and uneducated one,at least in regard
to what choices are available!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

My opinion is there is no God and life is pretty random!. The future is not determined and we make it what we want!.

In the instance you said regarding green-red lights!. I will say I was in a similar situation except it was go-karting and the dude in front of me spun out of control to end up stationary facing me!. Now at 90km/h (56 mph) there is not much I could do, but he ducked down in the last second (seriously must have been split second) under his steering wheel and I went up his drive shaft and flew over him!.

As I said, I don't believe in God but I was thanking his name (common cultural reference you could call it) I didn't take this poor dudes head off with the front of my go-kart!.

I made my own theory based of the similar thermodynamics theory:

The entropy of life: "as you age, life becomes more random" (yet to see if it actually works when you get older lol)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This is a good philosophical question but one that can never be satisfied or answered correctly, because we do not know if there is a god!. If there is a god, i would say fate is more likely, because the way i would picture it is god would be so powerful and knowledgeable that he would know every little thing we have done, are doing, and will do, and therefore he knows our fates, and i'd be under the impression that he created the human race for a purpose!. If there is no god, then i believe there is no such thing as fate, and that people are completely free to roam, and free to act as they please without any intervention, and in which case destiny would merely be a man made belief to create meaning in our lives!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hm!.!. This reminds me of that one book I read: Slaughter House Five, by Kurt Vonnegut!. One of the major themes are about free will--whether we have the ability to choose what we do or if it just happens randomly, no matter who you are!. In the book, Vonnegut questions all of that--free will, the meaning of life, why are we here, ect!.!.

But to directly answer your question, I'm not sure!. No one knows for sure, but for right now, I believe God put us here on Earth, but does not have a specific plan!. I believe humans are responsible for the meaning they give life and things just turn out the way they do with choices and luck!. I guess fate can play a role in life too, but I'm really not sure what to believe!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If God were really watching out for us, he wouldn't have little girls kidnapped and tortured and worse!. He wouldn't allow old folks to lose their personalities to Alzheimers!. He wouldn't leave women as destitute, grieving widows!.

It's my opinion that if He does exist, His hands are completely tied and He can't do anything!. Otherwise, surely, He would do something!.

If you were going through a green light, and a person runs the red light and hits you, it's not God's fault, either -- it's that stupid person's fault!. We've got to take responsibility for the good and evil in the world!. I remember a quote I read -- there's no justice; there's Just Us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well, that depends, everyone is going to tell you something different, what you are asking for is a hurricane of erroneous beliefs and opinions!. What I would recommend you to do, is to find the answer to your questions within yourself!. Take some time alone, and in silence, you will find what you are looking for, what works for you and not what works for us!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

That is a very good question!.
I suppose it all depends on if you believe in God!.

I think there is a such thing as fate!. If that car BARELY misses you then it is probably fate
But it's really our choices that define where we go!.

Fate has a say but in the end it is us who determine our own destiny!.

Just say you fail a maths test!. That isn't fate, you probably should have just studied more!.
Do you get what I mean!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

I've always believed (let me note, this is a personal opinion) that God does have specific plans for us, but He also give us the choices (free will), which path are we going to take!.

as for your example, I believe it's God's intervention!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

absolutely yes! to live joyfully and peacefully with Him!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

to believe in this, you have to believe in god, and not in fate

so no i dont believe your theoryWww@QuestionHome@Com
