i would say what my nan taught me!.!.!.the more kind things you do for people the more they take the f n p iss!
so yes!Www@QuestionHome@Com

First and foremost the only difference between good and evil is point of view!. Second the reason that no good deed goes unpunished is that not everyone thinks it's a good deed!. Take Abortion for instance, on the one hand your saving yourself and what little family you have from pain and suffering at the hands of someone who cannot say one way or the other about if they want to live or not, on the other hand your taking the life of someone who has no logical reason for wanting death, possesses no threat to society, and really has no reason to be killed!. So if you truly want to know if a good deed goes unpunished ask what is good!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

A good deed should be done without worrying of consequences!. The fact that someone has benefited from your good deed should be reward enough!.

If one expects to be showered with only favorable events for his good deeds, then perhaps the punishment is for his hypocrisy!.

EDIT:
I mean you should take whatever chain of events that comes in stride!. If you do a good deed with a prior acceptance of the possibility of bad events, you probably wont feel like you got back-stabbed by cruel fate!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It's rather a trite, meaningless saying, isn't it!? I can easily think of many kind deeds that do not go unpunished, so it's rather worthless as a maxim!.
I think it falls into that old trap of confusing kindness with weakness!. Being kind and being taken advantage of are two separate things; they don't have to go hand in hand!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No deed, good or bad, will ever go unrecognized!.!.!.!.If one does bad things, one cannot expect a good outcome!.
Shakespeake said it best!.!.!."The evil men do lives on after them, but the good is oft interred with their bones, " meaning bad deeds are often more prominent in memory than the good things a person has done!.
Good deeds are not recognized as often as bad things we do!.
You sound a bit bitter!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes, and I liked Wicked too!. When you try and do something good, you tend to be criticised for it or it has unwanted consequences!.
I think one of the major themes of the musical was the difference between what you know to be right, and what the 'masses' think about you!. People don't always see the whole picture and jump to conclusions (hence the Wicked Witch of the West)!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

This fits in with the rebirther's ideas that love bring up everything unlike itself -
The explanation is that - wea re unused to uncondtiotionla positive regard so that when we receive it - it either feel sthreatening to the sytem and is battered away or it gives us permission to unload all the rest of our internal rubbish into this dustbin!.

Forewarned is forearmed I try not to let other peoples responses deter me from how I want to act - all in the best possible taste of course!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"No good deed goes unopposed" is more accurate!.

The life of Jesus shows goodness continually opposed!.

"The Path of the Higher Self," Mark Prophet!.
"Testimony of Light," Helen Greaves!.
"Men in White Apparel," Ann Ree Colton!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I am a "Wicked" fan as well!. The musical works on so many levels and answers your question as well as any one of us can!. Perhaps the answer lies in our humanity and ability to communicate poorly or effectively!. It is what we make of it, is it not!?Www@QuestionHome@Com

when you be good you care,
so you can be punished!.

where its easier sometimes to do the bad things

rather have a clean conscience though
and hope some day to get a reward for itWww@QuestionHome@Com

I think that there are punishments and rewards for good deeds!. I think that the definition of a good dead is an action where the rewards outweigh the punishments!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Habitual virtuous acts led to a flourishing society!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, it's attentional bias!. Like Murphy's law!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

I think you have got that saying the wrong way round!. It should read "No bad deed goes unpunished"Www@QuestionHome@Com
