I would say, "No, definitely not!"

Whether or not a person is "happy" or not, generally this is decided by the person himself!. Whether or not a person is "great" or has achieved "greatness," this is decided by others!.

A person can be extremely happy, and rightly so, and yet, in the eyes of others, has done nothing great!. A person can be considered "great," even in the eyes of the general public, and still not be happy!. Especially when it comes to material possessions, there are persons who just can never be satisfied, and they always want more!. Perhaps it's the same with fame, or scientific achievement, or whatever area of "greatness" they aspire to!. Such people are probably not happy!.

For me, the best thing is to aspire toward some type of "balance," to be satisfied with oneself and also to do things which are for others, and would cause them to think we are "great!."Www@QuestionHome@Com

No, sometimes you cold be a very happy person but to the eyes of the others you're not great!. And sometimes you are considered a great person but feel empty or unhappy!.
Happiness comes from feeling good about the great Person we are inside, that becomes more mature and gives us a better view of life as the day's and year's roll on by!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
