Question: I'm kind of dissapointed with what I've read about Osho's real life, tell me what you think, details:
"I have never been a celibate!. If people believe so, that is their foolishness!. I have always loved women – and perhaps more women than anybody else!. You can see my beard: it has become grey so quickly because I have lived so intensely that I have compressed almost two hundred years into fifty"
I heard he loved to be with young women, in orgys, with wives, an so on!.!.!.!.he also did not let his followers to have sex, is that true!?
Another thing here is:
Osho said that he was "the rich man's guru", and that material poverty was not a spiritual value!. He was photographed wearing sumptuous clothing and hand-made watches!. He drove a different Rolls-Royce each day – his followers reportedly wanted to buy him 365 of them, one for each day of the year!. Publicity shots of the Rolls-Royces (more than 90 in the end) appeared in the press!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Osho was an enlightened Master, of that you can be sure and he would use any and every method and technique and more to trigger those who had chosen to follow him with the aim of achieving their own enlightenment!. His methods were highly controversial and he gained a very large opposition during the time he was known publicly!.
He lived in the moment and this is why it is so difficult when reading his words to attain exactly what he meant when he was saying them!. It is possible that he would give one talk and everyone listening would be baffled as to why he appeared to be contradicting himself so much, but actually that talk would have been triggering one person in particular at that time!. Of course the relevence of this is bound to get lost in later years!.
He advocated total freedom amongst his followers and through that freedom they were put through hell and high water, of course they were allowed to have sex and anything else they desired, but he also cared for their welfare, being the first man in the whole world to ensure that the AIDS virus was not spread through the main commune of the time, because if it had been allowed in, it would have run rampant very quickly due to the vast number of people and vast amount of sexual energy flying around and that would have been devastating!.
He challenged everything and anything - that was his beauty and in doing so he suffered greatly, but carried on regardless!.
The material wealth he acquired was all through gifts people gave him, his actual private life was very basic but he used the wealth as a technique to trigger his followers and other outsiders!. He himself knew the ridiculousness of it and - if the truth were know - laughed at it!
A living Master comes in many different shapes and forms, the form of Osho was one of them that enriched a vast amount of truth seekers lives at that time and the work that he started still carries on!. If you come into contact with a living master, it is said that you are 'blessed', because that contact will enrich and shorten your journey towards the truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
Learn what you can from him, let pass what you can't and then move on!.
But don't waste too much time on his teaching!.
On you tube you can see videos with him and of some of his students that have now become 'teachers'!.

Sounds like he missing the idea to me and he had a lot of eager followers!. If something doesn't sit right with you, then you are right!. Trust yourself!. Good for you not just swallowing other peoples' assertions and guruisms! You'll know a true guru when you meet one, you will know!.
