Question: How egotistic are you sometimes with!.!.!. your generosity!?
Best Answer - Chosen by Asker:
I don't know if I would call it egotistic!. Being generous never makes me feel any better, it just comes naturally!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Both the egotist and the egoist have "selfish" motives for what they do!.

But the egotist has ulterior motives in his generosity, while the egoist has none!.

I'm proud to say I am not an egotist, because I do not have ulterior motives!. I'm an open book, and people often surprise me when they tell what is on certain "pages" of my "book!." I don't try to be THAT open!Www@QuestionHome@Com

How can you be generous if you there is no one to be generous to!?
Or do you mean in motives!.
The act of generousity requires a recipient!.
The motives of generousity do not!.
Therefore one can not really be egotisticaly generous only motivated to be generous by their egoism!.
This is a critical point that many seem to miss but it is very important that we make it clear!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

your always ego tistic with it!. If the person does not appreciate your generosity you get angry that it was not recognised!. you always want some kind of 'recognision' for the nice things you do!.

except when a mother does something for her kids, she loves them unconditionally, especialy when they are babies and looks after them without expecting them to appreciate it, she just wants their happiness above all =]Www@QuestionHome@Com

I try my best to not be ego centered in times of generosity!.
Infact I think I can rise above my own ego and give genuienly!.
also, I know that when I give in some way and never let anyone know about it, - I am blessed in a way that can't be explained!.

There is nothing wrong with ego!. Without is we wouldn't have the gumption to do anything, let alone surrive!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
