Question: Wizard of Oz Quote Mystery!?
"If I ever go looking for my heart's desire again, I won't look any further than my own backyard, because if it isn't there, I never really lost it to begin with!."

i've tried wrapping my head around it, and i can't get it!! It's driving me crazy!

what i'm having trouble with is the part that says "if it ISN'T there, then i never lost it in the first place!."

is it that your supposed to dream for bigger things!? if what you're dreaming for isn't in your backyard, then that's good!. it shouldn't be!.

!.!.!.her hearts desire was her family, but didn't realise that until her journey away from home!.!.!.she was searching for something she already had as were the other characters
- her family had always been there, they were not lost from her but at the time felt neglected
- she was not searching for the"unknown" as some may do who have not yet discovered their true desire
Basically appreciate that you have what you need and don't go looking unless it's something you no longer desire!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

i think that it is saying: if you're heart's desire is in your backyard, then it is soooo easy to find and understand!.!.!.but if it isn't in your backyard, it is more difficult to find and follow, so one would lose their heart's desire if the quest for it was as easy as looking in one's backyard!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
