Because of the subquestion that follows, I don't know if I understand the question!. However, I don't think anyone can be aware of himself or herself because the self that would supposedly achieve awareness can never step outside itself to watch the self in action!. It just can't be done!. One is locked into one's own perceptions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes to the first part of your question!. No I do not think we are striving for the unattainable!. If we thought so, we will stop striving!. Perhaps, that is the greatest folly of humans!. To continue to strive even if it is just beyond our reach!. We should enjoy our moments of triumph, discovery, inventions and continue to seek out!. But I digress, true self awareness does exist and it is attainable!.

Thanks for a great question!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Of course it does and it is ever present just waiting to be discovered!. The beauty of your question is that it already contains its own answer!. Truth, Self and Awareness are actually 3 different words for the same thing!. Awareness is Source to Self and therein lie the Truth!. It is only our definition of self that limits us, Self as the Truth of undefined Awareness is complete and all encumpassing containing all that is in unmanifest potential!. To seek it is to ignore its present reality by superimposing a belief in personal limitation upon it!. Go to newreformationnow!.com for the best clue you will ever get on this subject!. PS Enjoy your Self because only you can!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

When we set our mind to something or to search for something we assume that we do not have what we are looking for!. This sounds like a trivial statement but this is true that we very quickly learn to loose sight of things what we already have, the things that may be most obvious in front right under our nose, or by our side!. The most obvious example for this is when we watch movies we seldom ever think of the presence of the camera that recorded all the action, so dexterously the job of filming is done that we feel ourselves right in the middle of the action all by ourselves quite unaided and unobstructed in anyway!.

Then life is based upon certain human capacities within, the very human capacities for truth, beauty, justice, wisdom and all that we have in our minds as abstract notions and our ideals!. We search for truth all the time, but what we already have is the truth, the truth of our life!. The truth as the personal truth is the reality of being, as our reason, that we like to keep focused upon when we search for the ultimate, truth!.

Ideals are there in the mind to help us determine the right directions for our efforts along the paths where our ideals are unreachable destinations!. We can become aware of ourselves, of our human potentials, human capacities and of varying abilities of our person in particular, but complete awareness of everything, the we are in reality part of, is the state of an ideal mind, the mind of God so to speak, as is unattainable in the reality of or limited beings!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

It does exist and you must truly believe in yourself!. Self-awareness is very important if you wnat to be conscious of living in this universe!. It is a matter of doing it conscientiously and being totally aware of the surroundings!. We are destined to attain what we strive for in life!. Happiness is attainable for it is the very purpose why we live and seek for!.

Thanks for asking!. Have a great day!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Only through a Higher Source, can one truly know 'self' awareness!. "Self- awareness' is part of the inner workings of the brain!. I just learned to what extent this plays out in one's life, from an answer in yesterday's forum, from a u-tube video I watched!. Very educational! I truly believe the brain and heart are connected to a Higher Source in life!. We learn our true purpose and value for life when we allow God to intervene!. We are fulfilled with purpose and worth, maximized!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Yes - but I do think you have to go for it and not get caught up in social ideals!.

I worked as a peer advocate for the mentally unwell and being unhooked from societal pressure to conform makes it easier to be self aware!.

No not unnattainable but hard work and needing constant topping up and not getting caught up in spiritual materialism!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We were created to be FAITH children that is to survive by not having something to see hear touch or smell, it just has to be our personal experience that wills to choose God over ourselves!. This gives us great advantages over some, we have achieved Spirit status in ways they have not this gives us the opportunity to help other like ourselves in future life experiences to over come as well through faith!.

Consider the love you receive without any effort on your part except you have loved in return!. How much greater is this love then one that was purchased through some personal doing, giving, or providing!.

The love of a parent is there regardless of the child's love but the child must learn to love the parent!.

To love is to be aware!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Self awareness exists and is attainable!. It's called "enlightenment!."

That is the ultimate purpose of life!.!.!. to become "Children of the Light!." (a neglected phrase from the 4 Gospels, Christ said it)

Goldstein/Maslow/Rogers etc via self-actualisation and alot of other Humanist Psychologists believed so - the whole perspective is founded on this principle - Rogers even believed that self/awarness and striving to better yourself - aim for personal growth was what drives us as human beings other thinkers like Freud believed not, he believed that self-awareness is just an illusion and that what drives us fundamentally is the libido!.!.

Personally I am much more in the Humanist camp - I would love to think they had it spot on - cannot stand Freud/Psycho-analysts!.!. think they are way off the mark!.!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

If we aren't a dreamer or stop being a dreamer & make a strong motive to achieve "completeness", there's a power which becomes available to us only then & guides us through and let us find the ways to reach but the condition is we shouldn't turn back once we get ourselves fully determined!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Godel's Proof if applied to humans would suggest that everyone has a blind spot when it comes to certain aspects of themselves!.

Yes you can have true self awareness but never 100% awareness of every aspect of yourself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
