Question: Can anyone suggest some good books on philosophy!?
I've always had an interest in philosophy, but have never actually read substantial material on it!. I have read a little bit of Nietzsche's "Human, All too Human" and enjoyed it so far (although the parts on metaphysics can drag a bit, in my opinion)!.

I was wondering if someone could suggest some other books I could look into as well!. I'm already planning on buying the following: "The Prince" by Niccolo Machiavelli, "Beyond Good & Evil" by Friedrich Nietzsche, and "Utopia" by Sir Thomas Moore!.

I am also 15, so please, nothing that would go beyond the sphere of my mental capacity!. I still have a lot of growing up to do!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Hmm!.!.!.well, the classics like Plato's "The Republic" might be a bit heavy for a first philosophy book, but it's supposed to be good!.

I would recommend some novels with philosophical themes!. For religion, I loved the ideas from "Life of Pi" by Yann Martel and "Cat's Cradle" by Kurt Vonnegut!. They're both very readable, but can make you think!. also, for Christianity, "The Great Divorce" by C!.S!. Lewis and "The Screwtape Letters"!.

That's about all I've got, I hope it helped, I don't know exactly what subjects you're interested in!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

While it is not a classic Alain De Botton has some very interesting and very modern thoughts on society and romantic relationships and how to be happy!. "How Proust Can Change Your Life" is wonderful!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
