Question: Is time the essence of eternity, or is eternity the absense of time!?

Scientists are currently working WHY time moves in a straight line; why no one gets confused about what is past, present, and future!. Why everything is so linear!.
So it's hard to say what time is, actually!.

I believe eternity is the absence of time, because eternity goes on forever (which cannot be measured) and time IS measured!. As well as that time may just be a part of eternity, and thus can be measured!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Your questions presents the Fallacy of the False Dilemma!. This occurs when the only answers available to choose from are all incorrect!.

Eternity is in the axiom "existence exists!." That means the stuff of existents cannot disappear, that the matter of the universe goes on in one form or another without end--and thus without beginning!.

To say that at one time existents did not exist is to contradict the meaning of both words!.

"An axiom is a statement that identifies the base of knowledge and of any further statement pertaining to that knowledge, a statement necessarily contained in all others, whether any particular speaker chooses to identify it or not!. An axiom is a proposition that defeats its opponents by the fact that they have to accept it and use it in the process of any attempt to deny it!."
Ayn Rand

"In traditional logic, an axiom or postulate is a proposition that is not proved or demonstrated but considered to be self-evident!. Therefore, its truth is taken for granted, and serves as a starting point for deducing and inferring other (theory dependent) truths!."

The former not the latter: Eternity implies time!. Time is one, but split into pieces of an infinitude, and Eternity is but one expression of it, the duration of a unique quality, which is time!. One cannot have eternity without time to render it into existence!. Eternity is founded on time, for if time did not exist, or had no reason or purpose to fulfill of itself, there would be no medium by which eternity will have come into being in the first place!. Of Eternity, what drives it, what gives it intention, we might ask!?

An operative concern among others – your call – to ask here is perhaps, 'Why does time persist at all, why and where is there eternity if it does not come by certain foils; why and for what purpose beyond an abstraction is there, which we transform into a solidity, that it should have such temerity on the one hand -- such intention; and on the other, by what foil do both time and eternity import meaning that it is ever got up by thought, by any who think!?

We have Time's siblings to befriend us and help us, however, even if Time tends to elude us!. To wit: if Eternity implies time we are led to speak of Space, which leaves us to ask as quickly -- 'Space for and from what!? -- which we have to assert --'Space from and between mass so that we may perceive of Space', which implication speaks to the vehicle that is infinity, ay, which is but Space apportioned using measures of mass, exactly, in lockstep with Eternity!.

D = RT is a testament to the relationship that time has with space, which sentence affords us convenient compass!.

We then compel to interject, 'If there is mass, there has to be a commensurate measure of energy; for what is mass but energy in repose -- energy taking a rest for the while!. Here we behold energy in bedroom slippers; and mass, in a short dinner jacket!.

If there is the absence of time, then there is the absence of the three other siblings as well!. To nix the one is to nix all four!. Time is the essence of eternity; as is space, of infinity!. Where there is time, there is space, energy, and matter!. It is with the help of at least two of these tangibles indeed that we may come to 'grasp' that of time!. This is to say that Matter we understand, we can touch it; Space we understand, we have need of it in our lives all the 'Time' from the disturbances brought by somewhat we think Life's often cumbersome restraints and irascible conditions!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Very good question, I don't think time is present in eternity because time is thought of as limited , time can also be counted and eternity can not; therefore, succintly put, absense of time is the essence of eternity for enternity is infinite and can not be counted!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

"It always takes 3 to make 1 and yet there is 4!."

past + present + future = eternity

Eternity is the absence of time!.

God's name is I AM

As human beings existing in this universe we live in the eternal now as time flows through us as the past, present, and future!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Eternity doesn't implement on "LIFE", rather it implements on the "theory of life", & time is to assist our lives not the theory itself!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
