Absolutely!. It's pretty clear to see!. First, let's keep in mind the baseline - roughly half of all the voters went for either candidate overall!.!.!. if they hadn't it wouldn't have gone on so long, neh!?

Let's start with Clinton!. The biggest disparity she had was in Alabama, where 70% of the white people voted for her (link 1, by the way!.!.!. I'm not making this stuff up)!. Many of the Southern states followed a similar pattern, but it was most pronouned there!. Now we could say it's purely a coincidence that many of the places known for racism from whites happen to have such a disproportionate statistic!. But I think it would be wishful thinking to suggest that much less than 10% of that was due to racist white folk!.

Now let's look on the other side!. In North Carolina, 90% (!) of the black voters voted for Obama (link 2)!. If it was hard to imagine that there weren't a portion of racist whites in Alabama, it's absolutely inconceivable that there weren't a bunch of racist blacks in North Carolina!. I've never seen 90% of anyone vote for anybody in a election unless they were completely unopposed!.

Of course, that doesn't mean that ALL whites or blacks are racist (the fact that none are 100% proves it!)!. Just that for some portion of them it plays a factor in their decision-making process!. But does this really surprise anyone!? I think we all knew that there were lots of racists out there of EVERY race!.

Notice the way in which even you phrased the question!? You asked if Black Americans are voting for Obama because he is black!.!.!.!.!.!. you did not ask if black Americans are voting against John McCain because he is white!.

You may not see the difference in these two questions but they make all the difference!. To vote for someone because they share a trait with you is not discrimination!.!.!.!.!. to vote against someone because they lack that trait is!. In choosing between two people there are many factors to consider and their outward appearance is on the table!. That is just human nature!.

It is not discriminatory to vote FOR anything!.!.!.!.!.!. rather one must vote against a thing to qualify!. You could argue that it is racist (because race is an issue) but not discrimination!. One could hardly suggest that John McCain is being discriminated against because he is white!.

also, their is no such thing as reverse discrimination!. Anyone can be discriminated against by anyone!.!.!.!.!.!.!. therefore their is only plain old discrimination!. Your entire question seems to formulate with a large misunderstanding, which isn't wrong, most questions if not all are formulated with misunderstanding!.

To the point, not all black Americans are voting for Obama because he's black!. However, a lot of them are!. It's not reverse discrimination though!. It's more so sociology, where minorities stick for their fellow minority!. If Obama was Mexican or Asian, the effect would be all the same!.

To take your question a step further, and this you might want to consider: all US presidents have been white!. This goes back to Washington, over two hundred years!. So, have Americans been voting for these people because they are white!? How isn't this racial discrimination!?

I'm not sure if black Americans are, but I am white and thats one of the reasons I'm voting for him!. I grew up in a small mountain town in North Carolina!. The KKK was rampant there!.
