Best Answer - Chosen by Asker: Sure, I'll anny up!.!.!. 1) Somehow you would have to cross a grass-seed with something that would cause the tip of the grass-blade to experience a plant-rigamortis!. What that is, is anyone's guess!. 2) The trick comes from in allowing the blade's tip to two or so inches from the top to freeze and litterally die, soon the wind would cause it to break off, and possibly provide mulch for the next blade to grow!. 3) Yet the root somehow would remain nourished, and continue to reciprocate the growth of the blade to two or three inches out of the ground, become hard, die from lack of nutrients(in tip only) and repeat the process in the next growth out of the ground!. 4) As to your friend, I guess I know too many people and friends who struggle with 'cutting'; and though it may prove 'funny' in some circles, you'll forgive me won't you, if I don't!.Www@QuestionHome@Com I think he never thought of AstroTurf always green ,never grow always clean , save on water !.!.
