Most people lie because they are ashamed of the truth, they don't want to hurt their loved ones, to cover up their mistakes, to make others happy, so they can get away with whatever they did, they're scared they might get into trouble, or afraid of someone!. The expression says it all "The truth hurts"!. We lie to stay out of trouble and avoid hurting someone!. Look at the game show 'The moment of truth' that show has ruined many lives just because the person in the hot seat had to tell the truth!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
