Question: Why do we humans love illusion so much!?
We humans try hard to get to know the natural world and find out what reality is,
But at the end of the day, most of us love to fall in some type of illusion to feel special about our lives or to keep us going:
People who think they are immortal or they’re chosen by God or that their dead loved one is still around and they can talk to him or that there is more to some real story (like those who say Elvis is still alive!)
Why doesn't truth alone satisfy us and we seek illusion!?
I never understand this and I myself love to seek illusion too!Www@QuestionHome@Com

Humans are to patterns as cats are to mice!. We need a neat and orderly universe!. Science worshipers use "theory" as truth and believe in big bangs and evolutions like holy grails!. Atheists hang onto their anger and the wrongness of everyone else's mythologized worldviews!. Everyone has a crusade, and those most offended by other people's mythologies are those who are most sold on their own!.

If "truth" (whatever the hell that is) would fit into a beautiful and elegant pattern then every human on Earth would believe in that same thing!. The plethora of illusions is a testament to the inadequacy of science and religion to address our most basic human need for order!.

I believe that 99% of what 99% of people in 99% of history believed was nonsense!. So 99% (a virtual lock) of everything I think is so is bullshyte!. So what!? I still go on believeing my own BS!.

Truth hurts!.
No one want to face the pain of loneliness or realize that they're vulnerable or that they've been abandonned!.

We shy away from conscious awakening because facing cold hard facts demands a certain adjustment!. We are comfortable in our little made up world!.

Its a virtual paradise to help forget the reality of the self!Www@QuestionHome@Com

We are part of illusions as of being a part of reality!.
If you will come to know certain divisions of existing or non existing dimentional life!. You may come to think that we may be real part of illusions!.
It does good as it does bad!.
So we may try and choose of what kind of illusions that we may be conciously or even unconciously would seek for and dwell!.!.
Will you love how it affects you or condemn it!? It always rely into or urges or cravings!.!.
I had craved for love and always fell into its illusionary traps!. But what happened then!.!.!.I was sought by my conciousness until I found myself, and so as you will be then, when you seek!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

An illusion often gives you a quick and easy explanation for something strange or complex!. That way, you don't have to deal with laws of nature or math formulas!.

And through such performances, you might see things which were considered to be impossible!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Most people can't face reality, they refuse to grow, refuse the difficulty!.

Maybe we need illusion, the whole world is not real!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

it keeps them on the brinks of sanity and prevent them from doing stupid thingsWww@QuestionHome@Com

the truth of the mater is that!.!.!.!.life in its everyday is just plain boring, grudging and tiresome!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

We rely on the mind!. The mind cannot tell truth from falsehood!.Www@QuestionHome@Com

Well one reason is reality is hard, illusion is easy!.

Perhaps the biggest reason is sloth!.

Example, my wife has a friend who is a big Obama supporter!. When she asked him why he liked Obama he said "Well, I want to be part of something bigger than myself, and I want to help make history!." I told him that if he really felt that way he should join the Army!.

Now I take the guy at his word!. I'm sure that he legitimately feels that way!. There is a case to be made that by supporting the first African-American to be elected President you would be "helping to make history"!. Not in the "I was at Iwo Jima" sense of "helping to make history" but you are helping to make history, and you are part of something bigger than yourself!. Either way you are becoming part of something bigger than yourself and helping to make history!.

But voting for Obama and putting a sticker on your car is a whole lot easier than signing up for three years, going to basic, and doing a tour in Baghdad!.

Which is pretty much my point!. The wife's friend is trying to satisfy his emotional need to belong, and an need to feel distinctive!. (This is a common need that is exploited by many TV commericals!.) There are a great many ways of satifying this need!.!.!.he's picking the easy one!.

I think the obsession with illusion is the same!. Reality is hard!. People want the respect that comes with achievement!.!.!.but they don't want to put in the hard work it takes to achieve something worthy of respect!. Joining the Army is hard work!. Becoming a doctor is hard work, becoming a lawyer is hard work!. So instead of joining the Army!.!.!.they play video games!. Instead of becoming a lawyer they read THE FIRM!. Instead of becoming a doctor or a nurse or a paramedic, they watch E!.R!.

They want to be something more than they are!.!.!.(and this is a GOOD thing)!.!.!.they just don't want to put in the work it takes to achieve it!.Www@QuestionHome@Com
